  Jamie has been a huge help with my now 4 year old daughter's speech. My daughter had a few sounds that she needed to master and Jamie was able to get her caught up in a matter of a few months. And the great thing is Jamie is very flexible and great with children as she is a mother herself. When my daughter "graduated" she was a little sad because she had so much fun playing the games Jamie incorporated to help improve her speech inconspicuously.

  While I have lived in the US for over 20 yrs, I still have a noticeable accent. I took a 7 week course with Jamie, and found it tremendously useful and even enjoyable. Jamie did an excellent job as a tutor. She created a personal learning plan for me, she is focused, patient, meticulous, a has a great sense of humor. Jamie encouraged me to work on assignments between the sessions, checked my progress in a timely manner, and provided a valuable feedback and tips. I can't recommend her highly enough.

  My son was 10-years-old and was still not producing a correct "r" sound. We kept thinking he'd outgrow it, and when we realized he wasn't and that people were still having a hard time understanding him, we started scrambling to research speech therapy which we were completely new to (and since he excelled academically he didn't qualify for any speech services through school).
  
  Jamie responded quickly to my email with all the pertinent information I needed and when comparing her to several other well-reviewed therapists in the area we quickly settled on Jamie due to her more competitive rates and it was apparent that she was highly qualified and very easy to work with. She scheduled right away, was able to come right to our house to work with him, and get to work immediately.
  
  Within the first session she was able to teach him how to correctly produce an r sound which we had never been able to do with him. She had great rapport with him and though our son was very resistant to the idea of speech therapy, Jamie did a great job making it enjoyable for him and he even looked forward to his sessions. Teaching the r sound at his age can be a difficult one, due to him having to completely re-learn something he's been doing wrong for so long (and he's a BIG talker and communicator), yet we couldn't be more pleased with his progress in a VERY short amount of time. He's producing the sound with essentially 100% accuracy now and we are so glad we decided to invest in speech therapy, which is something I was very nervous about going into...
  
  Ms. Tallent is a pleasure to work with, is very knowledgeable in her field, is very easy and flexible in scheduling, and has great communication and competitive rates. I highly recommend her!

  Jamie Tallent is a seasoned & exceptionally gifted speech-language pathologist. She can quickly remediate even the toughest speech disorders, such as the tricky "R" sound. She has a natural and easy way with children & can quickly & easily establish rapport. Her knowledge of both speech and language disorders is exceptional, and she communicates to parents with an exceptional ability to help them easily understand their child's profile and therapy plan/recommendations. Jamie is one of the very, very best!

  My son Jay has just graduated from speech therapy with Jamie. It was the fastest, most productive therapy and speech growth for him EVER. In 6 short months, she corrected 8 years of /r/ and /l/ sound mistakes. My son talks a lot so that was a TALL order. I loved how on task she kept Jay during their sessions and how on task she kept us at home with daily practice. She has been such a blessing for our family. I highly, highly, highly recommend her. For kids, she is that perfect balance of being fun and demanding all at the same time. Jay knew they were going to work hard, but he also knew it was going to be fun. Best yet, he heard his own progress and was so proud of the work they were doing together. He graduated with what he called "mixed emotions" because Jamie is so awesome. WE LOVE HER.
