Vein Specialists of the Carolinas: Dr. David G. Draughn, Vein Sp

I highly recommend Dr Draughn. I had been having problems with a swollen
ankle which gave me a lot of pain and it also appeared that my lower left leg was swollen. I was referred by a local doctor to a surgeon and 1 of his specialties was "veins". I went to that surgeon, felt like he rushed me through and told me I would need vein surgery. I did not feel comfortable with his diagnosis or they way he rushed ,so , being a newcomer to Charlotte, I looked up Dr. Draughn. He sat down with me , took his time, and explained to me , after looking at 2 ultrasounds, why I did not need
surgery and he was soo honest and answered all of my questions. He even
measured both of my lower legs at 1 inch intervals to show me that indeed, my lower left leg was not swollen but just appeared that way due
to the shape. WAS I RELIEVED!!! I then went to see a foot/ankle specialist at his referral and found out what the real problem was .Thank you doctor!

Dr. Draughn did a great job in removing the fluid built up in a pocket that was created when my cardio surgeon removed a vein from my leg to use in my heart bypass. Staff were great and the ultrasound person was right on. I do wish that Dr. Draughn had worn a mask during my time in the office and during the procedure because of my compromised health, but then again, I should have asked! All the other staff did wear masks and it was very much appreciated.

Dr Draughn and his staff are all first rate and Dr Draughn correctly diagnosed my condition after extensive testing {ivus and venogram} and with this information my cardiologist and internal doctors changed my medication and my leg circulation is much improved and swelling diminished

After having several years of leg pain, the staff identified my problem and the pain is gone! Friendly staff and great atmosphere!

I have had great experiences and they do know veins! My procedures have gone well and I look forward to my upcoming procedure. The staff have all been very nice and friendly as well as efficient. My provider doing the procedure was very knowledgeable and good.
I will refer my own family there if they need their services. Also, the fact that they only do veins is assuring to me.
