Warning, this is a hole in the wall that has seen better days. However that doesn't mean the food isn't delicious!
We came here for dim sum and we not disappointed! My only problem is that I didn't have enough room in my stomach to try every dish that rolled by in a cart. Everything we had tasted like I remember from my many trips into Flushing, NY growing up.
We ordered medium pho ($9). Lots of noodles and meat and it's big. The Thai milk tea is also sweet and refreshing. The lady who served us is very accommodating
It was a quiet and amazing experience. We went here on a Friday around 4pm. We were the only ones there but it was nice to just have the whole
place to ourselves. Waiter was on point and timely. The food came out hot and fresh. We over ordered so we brought a lot of leftovers to go but we love doing that. We ate the rest later that night when we were home.
We ordered off their dim-sum menu and got everything that had mostly shrimp in it. Great quality and will be coming back!
The place does look a bit intimidating because it’s located in a very old Asian strip mall but it is still worth going to. Don’t judge a book by its cover. :)
The only location in Charlotte that I’m currently aware of that offers traditional dim sum and brings out the carts. I enjoy my staple dim sum dishes - I don’t actually know what they’re called in English, though. Deducting a star since not everything comes out consistently hot, though, like the noodle/crepe(?) dish... and personally the jellyfish texture/taste was not to my liking (compared to other places I’ve had it in the past). The servers are all super friendly, though, and if you don’t see what you’re looking for on a cart they’re always happy to ask the kitchen. Just beware, the prices can add up quickly when you’re hungry or curiously trying new plates :)
For those new to dim sum... Highly recommend getting the teapot to supplement your meal. It’s a great palate cleanser and helps break down the oiliness of the dishes. If you finish your pot while still dining, open the lid and that signals to the staff you need a refill.
Overall it was good dim sum. The way it's served is authentic style. The servers roll the steam carts table to table and you choose what you want to eat. Flavors was great. The area where the restaurant is located is in a run-down strip mall. The outside should be fixed up because at first glance It looked abandoned. But my cousin and I ventured on and searched for the restaurant in the inside.
