I almost didn’t go in, it’s out of the way and a very humble exterior but it was amazing and so glad I did! Was traveling and wanted a quant place to have a good meal and glass of wine. Great family atmosphere, the Chicken Marsala was so good. Love that the owner comes and checks on his patrons. Will definitely come again next time I’m in Charlotte.
Traveling again and was looking for some Italian but not the "Garden". Stumbled upon this place doing a search close by and was not disappointed!! I don't give out too many 5 stars but the food and the service won me over. We first got the cheese bread which is really a pizza with cheese herbs but no tomato sauce. It was also served with the marinara that was outstanding and certainly homemade. We got it to go along with our main dish instead of just rolls. I had the lasagna and my daughter had the fettuccine Alfredo. My lasagna was literally still boiling when they brought it to the table. Lots of ricotta, great marinara meat sauce, and plenty of mozzarella on top. Very even flavor and not overpowering. Not spicy. The Alfredo sauce was absolutely wonderful! Very creamy and also tasted homemade. Not a place for the really young kiddos, but 10 and up would be fine. I will certainly be back!
I have lived in the Charlotte area for almost 40 years. I am sad to say I have not been to this restaurant until today. What a treat! Their Pizza is out of this world good if you like a good thin crust pizza that is somehow slightly chewy and also has crunch with great fresh toppings! Their Tortellini Bellagio, is wonderful as well❤. If I could get more than five stars I would! Nice people, wonderful family atmosphere and great food at a great price, what more could you want?
You don't find places like this every day. The true neighborhood gem. A bit off the beaten path but that just stands as a testament to how good the place really is. A definite favorite for good Italian food on date night.
Great service, going earlier than usual for dinner (5 PM vs 6:30 PM). It does get very busy but the wait staff does hustle! We dine here often...everything is good, from pizza, to pasta, to meat/chicken/seafood entrees. It's all good! Also a full bar/beer/wine, & yummy desserts. Enjoy!
