I am so very pleased with the care provided by Doctor Paul B. Segebarth and his entire team. Dr. Segebarth's care was extraordinary and the results were beyond my expectations. He is patient, professional, and caring. He spent considerable time with me answering questions and explaining issues in plain language. I consider him a superior surgeon and a very caring doctor. He's a no nonsense physician that is genuinely interested in his patients well being. Thank you!!!!

I had my first lower back surgery in 2003 in Virginia. I was ok for about 13 years til 2016. Suddenly in February of 2016 I started to get pain in my right leg; later moved onto my thigh; then my right hip as well. Slowly the pain was getting worse and worse by the day. My primary care doctor put me on pain killers, muscle relax and then steroids, but my pain continued to get worse. I was taking 800mg of Ibuprofen and 10-35mg of Percocet which helped my pain for a couple of hours. The nerve pinched in my lower back caused me not to sleep day or night, and made me break down into tears because the pain was so bad. Finally after 5 weeks my primary care doctor referred me to Orthocarolina on N.Tryon Charlotte, Nc where I was seen by Steven Lawson P.A. While I was there he told me about the procedure I would go through to receive help. First he said I would be given an injection (cortisone) in my back, which from there we would wait for 4 weeks and see results, which is what we did and after the for 4 weeks my pain felt better for around 4 days and then it returned. Then they gave me another shot after 6 weeks which like the first one didn’t help. The final shot was in early November 2016 which again didn’t help. Finally they decided that surgery was necessary which was done by Dr. Paul B Segebarth MD. He is a very experienced and knowledgeable man. God bless him. My first appointment with him was in April 2016 after Steven Lawson first spoke to me about my treatment, which may I say was very accurate.
I was on the Bed for almost 9 months I remember not being able to stand or walk let alone sit, even after taking all these medications prescribed to me , still crying because the pain was so bad. I had almost 15 visits in the emergency department and around 25 doctors appointments during this period. My friends, family, everyone was really worried about me, they thought I would never be able to walk again or do all the things I was able to do before. They thought another surgery on my lower back where I had screws already would never let me recover. Which I understood, it was very risky, I was looking at reviews on Dr.segebarth, I felt crazy from all the medication and mentally unstable. When me and my wife met with Dr.Segebarth we asked him a ton of questions about the surgery and his experience i.e how many percentage of people got well after the surgery, if my surgery would be any different regarding I already had screws in my back from the previous surgery. He answered all of our questions positively and politely. I will always keep him in my prayers, God give him a long and healthy life so he can serve more patients like me. He put me back in my normal life with the blessings of Allah.I believe everything in our lives is from God, he has all control.
He did the surgery in December of 2016, slowly I recovered , in 3 months I would say I was in a pretty good position slowly getting better everyday later I began walking on my own with no pain at all nor taking any pain medication and I am so happy and thankful I am here today.
