  There are no words to express my gratitude to Heidi and Collin for helping me navigate my birth experience. I met Heidi when I was newly pregnant and new to the Charlotte area. I was drawn to Heidi because I knew she would be a strong advocate in a hospital setting, and could help me achieve an unmedicated delivery in the hospital. Heidi is SO knowledgable, and every conversation with her left me feeling well informed and empowered.
  
  Midway through my pregnancy, I decided to have a home birth instead. Heidi helped me navigate the transition into the home birth community, which can be tricky in North Carolina. She was steadfastly supportive. She was committed to helping me achieve the birth that I wanted, even when my birth preferences deviated from the mainstream.
  
  Perhaps the greatest gift that Heidi gave to me was her unwavering emotional support. She offered a listening ear whenever my anxieties would get the best of me, and held my hand through a challenging postpartum period. I will be forever grateful.

  Heidi is a joy to work with! She is knowledgeable, kind and empowering when you need her most. This was my second birth, but first time working with Heidi and Collin. Their support was truly a game changer!!!! I was able to develop clear birth preferences for whatever situation came my way and Heidi helped me bring that vision to life! I didn't have to sit and worry by myself if something came up during pregnancy, labor, birth or postpartum because my doula team was just a text or call away and ready to help! There's no question, hiring Heidi is 1000% worth it.

  Heidi was an invaluable ally throughout our birthing journey. She brought amazing energy to all of our interactions and created a very safe, validating, and non-judgemental space for us first time parents to have very open, transparent and helpful conversations. Heidi was able to successfully address our questions using her extensive knowledge & her own experiences. We felt more confident for labor/delivery because of all the resources and 1:1 talks we had with Heidi. And it’s obvious during both individual & group sessions, that Heidi has pulled together a perfect team to ensure her clients are seen, supported, and are the informed for their journey.

  Heidi was an invaluable part of my prenatal and birthing success hands down! She is a wonderful educator and passionate support person. She spelled out every step to consider during my pregnancy in prep for birth, and took my and my partner's individual pasts, personalities, concerns etc. into consideration and addressed with informed support. Heidi was amazing during the big day(s), and I won't hesitate to rehire if I become pregnant again. She is a magical force, knows how to help any way you need, and your partner is just as considered which was super important to me.

  When we got pregnant, I expressed to my husband the want to have a very special birthing experience. I knew I would have to give birth in the hospital, due to insurance/finances so I told him I wanted to hire a doula to help us navigate the process. He was hesitant to say yes, but ultimately said, "If you think it will help you, then let's do it." We are both so glad we did. Heidi is such a gift to all birthing persons... from her incredible energy, endless wisdom, and willingness to be present as much as possible to her ability to have honest conversations and coach you through all aspects of the process. Truly, she is a gift. While Heidi was not available during my labor, she showed up when we got to the hospital and set up our space, made sure my husband and I were feeling okay, and did all she could before she passed the baton to her work partner... After a long pregnancy (42 and 2) and labor, I finally go to take my little guy home and had no clue how much of a mess I would be. The beautiful part about working with Heidi was that she didn't disappear after I gave birth, she was still just as present and maybe even more valuable for me postpartum. She helped me navigate emotions I didn't expect to have and guided me through some really difficult decisions regarding breastfeeding. I promise you won't be disappointed if you chose Heidi to be your doula. I will say it over and over and over until I run out of air... she is a gift.
