We had an amazing time on the lake with Daryl as our instructor, he was super helpful and informative. We felt the fee was well worth it and we can't wait to go again.

Our family had a great time with Daryl. We learned a ton about wake surfing as well as boat set up. Communication leading up to the lesson was excellent. Zero complaints with the whole experience.

I asked around at several other locations regarding hardware for my wakeboard bindings. Nobody was able to help me. I heard of IcyWakes Surf Shop.I went there. So I posted the above last July. That is when I met Daryl. We discussed wake surfing and that peaked my interest in the sport. He was so knowledgeable and offered private instruction if I was interested. So I took him up on the offer last week and he lived up to his reputation! Within 5 mins I was up on the wake surf board….on my second attempt and over the next two hours advanced steadily. Daryl is a major asset to Icy Wakes Surf Shop and I recommend them without reservation!

Absolutely incredible experience soup to nuts. The information gathering/booking process with Jammi to book wakeboarding lessons was very simple and she was even able to get us in for an extra hour. We were paired up with Daryl who upon initial contact, you knew he lived and breathed these sports. Having never done it, Daryl was so kind and knowledgeable with how he broke down all aspects of getting up, being up, being stable, and learning how to ride with the tow rope. I got up instantly from being so comfortable pre-water and taught to perfection. My partner has been wakeboarding before and went after me to get a refresher and she killed it. At the end I asked if I could try to wake surfing since I had picked it up fairly quickly and he swapped things out and got me out there. Was so much fun on the water. We will definitely be back and will be purchasing a wakeboard to keep up with it back home in the DC area.

We stopped in during our travels home yesterday from Florida to Ohio, and we are sure glad we did. We would much rather spend money at a rad and locally owned surf shop any day of the week. They had an incredible selection, great prices, and the folks are great! Would recommend this gnarly place to anyone!
