I was an acupuncture skeptic, but Colleen saved my life!

Years ago, I was suffering from a migraine that would not abate for WEEKS. After several ER visits, a neurologist at Duke asked me to try acupuncture before engaging in a very aggressive drug regimen, so I made an appointment just to check it off the list. I thought it would do nothing -- I'm a scientist working the pharmaceutical industry, so I was extremely dubious -- and then I could get my prescription. I walked out of that first acupuncture appointment pain and migraine free for the first time in weeks! I sobbed with relief in the parking lot.

I have been a loyal customer ever since -- Colleen has helped me keep my migraines at bay (I used to get them minimum once a month, now I'm down to once a year at the most); even my headaches that were nearly constant are now infrequent. Working with her has lowered my stress levels, supported me through Celiac flare-ups, and eased me through hormonal issues.

She is consistently kind and supportive, and listens with a kind of intention that is rare to find. Her office is a safe and comfortable space, where treatments double as a relaxing time out from daily life. I always feel extremely cared for there.

Colleen is an excellent acupuncturist! Her treatments are always deeply effective, elegant, and relaxing. She has a comprehensive knowledge of the acupuncture points and their physiological and spiritual indications, she is very knowledgeable in additional therapies such as essential oils, her practice space is thoughtful and comfortable, and she has a wonderful presence.
