It makes me so happy to see this bee hotel and the flowers on walks, especially during pollinating season!
Love this small garden 🪴
Okay! Understand that this is a hotel for bees and not for people. The rooms are for solitary pollinator bees. You would find it very cramped for the night. However it is very cheap.
The rooms were small, noisy and sticky but other than that a good place to visit.
Plenty of food all around and good view of the river and train tracks. Located near the trendy part of town.
Fun planting area designed to provide pollinator insects and hummingbirds the right plants for feeding and propagation. This small plot has a variety of perennials that attract pollinators of all kinds - bees, butterflies, skippers, and hummingbirds to name a few. The plants include echinacea, milkweed, yarrow, poppy, bronze fennel, bee balm, beard tongue, salvia, blanket flower, Brazilian verbena, black-eyed Susan, aster, oregano, and many more. This garden is a colorful spot on the edge of the Gold Park playing field nearest to the railroad bridge ... and is right off the Riverwalk path. Adjacent to the garden is the "hotel", a handcrafted wooden structure that provides space for pollinators to make their home. This art piece is made up of a fascinating combination of bricks, bamboo tubes and ordinary materials, all crammed in together to make tiny nooks for bees and other insects.
