  My son developed his second kidney stone at 5am on Sunday morning. He was in extreme pain, had blood in his urine, and was vomiting from the pain. We have the NC State teachers healthcare plan so any trip to the ER ends up costing us a ridiculous amount out of pocket. Plus, the last time we used the ER for a kidney stone we had to wait 8 hours before we were seen. Trying to avoid a trip to the ER, I Googled "urgent care" in Salisbury. Every facility except FastMed had terrible reviews. I was very pleased with the reviews I saw for FastMed and so I went to their website where I was able to pre-register for my son to come in at 8:30 am. When we arrived we went through an easy check in procedure, waited very briefly in the clean waiting room, and then were taken right back. The nurse who took his vitals was very friendly. The doctor on duty was also friendly and had excellent bedside manner with our son. The doctor confirmed that he had a kidney stone and our son was given a shot for pain, as shot for nausea, and prescribed two prescriptions to help at home once the shots wore off. We were in and out of FastMed in 30 minutes and couldn't be happier with the service. SO impressed! Thanks FastMed for the outstanding service! And with my insurance, my copay was only $70!

  Great service, nice people my 5 year old had a great time getting her physical and didn’t feel like she was at a doctors office. Made her very comfortable and explained everything to me and her in terms that we both understand.

  Very professional, everyone is very nice at this location, I have had no problems here. Everyone is very knowledgeable as well.

  Really awesome staff. No waiting at all. Didn’t realize that we came right before they were getting ready to close and they treated us very respectfully and did not rush us out the door. I highly recommend this as an option for care if there is not a life-threatening emergency.
