Steve with Detailed Interiors is a true professional. His work is top notch and we are very pleased. He remodeled our whole downstairs by replacing carpet with hardwoods, tiling the laundry room, adding a laundry sink, and a full kitchen remodel. Before we started the project he gave me an estimate and a calendar and stuck to both. Steve is a family man and used family owned businesses. Everything was done by the book and we couldn't be happier with the finished project. We highly recommend using him for kitchen and bath remodels.

Detailed Interiors did a wonderful job with the remodel of our boys/guest bathroom. Steve was the consummate professional. He was well organized. He provided a timeline prior to the start of the project and followed through as promised. The quality of his work is impeccable. His contractors did great work. Everyday he completely cleaned up the work site and left my house spotless.
I decided shortly after the start of the project that I wanted the shower tile to be a herring bone pattern. Steve was up for job and the lines in the tile work are exquisite. You can tell he takes pride in his work.

He also went above and beyond his duty when the toilet that I had purchased developed a leak shortly after the completion of the project. The leak resulted in the baseboards having to be removed along with some of the drywall. He helped with water mitigation and replaced my drywall and baseboards without any extra cost. And to top it off, he replaced the toilet with a better quality toilet without charge.

Steve did a great job on our home project. He is extremely professional. He was always on time and always communicating any updates on the project. He even found a product and solution for a detail we added during the project. He kept a very clean jobsite as well. So we weren't left with any mess after each day of work. His timeline never changed and he delivered the finished project exactly when he said he would! The end result was exactly what we wanted.
He and his crew also wore masks for our safety and his.

Steve Maleta of Detailed Interior designed and completely rebuilt my 1990’s Tuscan kitchen into a lovely, spacious and updated light-filled kitchen. In addition, he removed the wall-to-wall carpeting in my front room and living room mending new hardwood floors to the existing hardwood floors in the hallway and kitchen.

Steve is a wonderful contractor who delivers what he promises. He is meticulous and conscientious and will work until he gets the job done. At the beginning of the job, he presented me with a weekly schedule that he stuck to complete the job. He actually finished the job a week earlier than expected and sent me a revised schedule with the new timeline. Steve keeps a clean work site and did a good job sealing up the portions of the house that were not under construction, especially when the floors were being sanded.

What was especially appreciated were the small details that I never thought of. One example is the floor heat registers were changed from the existing brass registers to inlaid wood, seamlessly matching the existing floors. Beautiful.

Steve contracted out the electrical, plumbing, floor finishing, countertops and the cabinetmakers. All of his sub-contractors were professional and finished the job according to Steve’s schedule.

I would highly recommend Detailed Interiors and Steve Maleta for any remodeling jobs. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

We hired Detailed Interiors to completely renovate our cookie-cutter master bathroom that was definitely showing its age and didn't really meet our needs. Everything about it felt claustrophobic. The shower was tiny, and the enclosed toilet area felt like dark closet. Plus, we had a cheap fiberglass tub we never used. The flooring was non-descript vinyl, the lighting was harsh, and the fans had never kept the mirrors from fogging.

Steve created a bathroom that was light, airy, and open. He replaced the dark, tiny shower and garden tub with a giant tiled shower area that we absolutely love. Two furniture-style vanities and mirrors replaced the cheap two-sink vanity and original plate mirror. It's so much nicer having not just separate sinks, but separate vanities, mirrors, and storage for my wife and I. Steve did a great job of tiling the floors and walls, and the awesome exhaust fans he installed mean we never have to worry about fogging of the mirrors and shower.

Everything about working with Steve was a pleasure. The work was done on-time and on-budget. We were very impressed with not only the workmanship, but also the steps to keep a major remodel from interrupting our lives. Steve always covered our floors from the front door to the master bedroom to ensure they remained clean and undamaged. Every day, he set up temporary wall to keep the dust out of our bedroom. At the end of the day, he cleaned up thoroughly and ensured the in-process work was blocked off to keep our kids safe. The only part of our house we couldn't access during the remodel was the bathroom. We didn't have to spend a single night outside our own bedroom.

Steve did most of the work himself, but there were a couple of things he had to sub-contract: electrical and plumbing. I'm happy to say these sub-contractors were just as professional and competent as Steve. The plumber recognized that the original builder used substandard materials, and he put in extra time to replace it, thereby avoiding imminent and expensive problems. He also noticed that a pressure valve attached to our water heater wasn't working right and fixed it for us.
