I came to the practice about six months post-partum with an epidural injury and nerve damage from hormone injections. Through the amazing skills and gifts of Calvin and Giselle, I experienced healing in two areas that had seen no progress whatsoever! I was wowed by their ingenuity and transformed by B.E.

Look no further for body work. This is the REAL deal! My brother first introduced me to Master Calvin when I visited NC in the fall of 2020 and I was impressed with his ability to ascertain and treat the source of my knee pain. I returned home to Texas and routinely visited physical and massage therapists. They were able to provide some relief, but it was not lasting. I returned to NC several times over the next year and began to formulate a plan to retire to NC. Being close to family was a major factor, and so was proximity to Master Calvin. I have more dexterity, less pain, and am moving better than I have for years. Our time isn't spent measuring the amount of flexion in my knee/ankle, it is spent DOING activities that increase the that flexion and the quality of my daily life. I used to count the hours until a massage and haven't needed or wanted one since I began regular visits to Labor of Love. I urge you to keep an open mind and try it. It works!

Calvin is an awesome body therapist! It’s the best way I can describe his infinite methods. My flexibility is way up! My blood pressure is way down (normal levels)! I actually sleep through the night and I wake up energized!

My wife and I have been going to Labor of Love for more than 10 years. We view the treatments we receive as essential for our health. Calvin Fleming treats every patient as an individual. He listens to the issues they face and doesn't just throw together a pre-determined approach. He assesses the condition and needs of each client and develops treatments specially designed for them based on their specific needs and condition. Calvin consistently deals with and looks for root causes and long-term solutions. These aren't quick fixes but long-lasting approaches that help every part of our bodies: Mental and physical. Bones and muscles. Exercise and relaxation, as appropriate. Stretching and balance. The interconnectedness of the body. His approach applies to people of every age. He isn't stuck in the past but always is studying, looking for the latest developments, how best to help his patients. The improvements we experience have been remarkable. Perhaps most importantly, he really cares about his patients. I strongly endorse Calvin and recommend him without qualification.

Through my extended family, I had heard about this place for several years. How Calvin knew exactly what to do for what ailed them. But I was skeptical. It wasn’t until I was in a fair amount of long term pain that I finally decided to take a chance on this place.

When I walked in, we had some introductions, then Calvin examined me, watched my movement as I walked, and tested a few muscles. Seemingly instinctively, he knew exactly what to do. Through a series of stretches, movements, targeted massages, and homemade “movement machines”, we worked through my pain. Not only did the pain decrease (and eventually go away), but through the process I found my balance was better, I had more freedom of movement, and my mind was clearer. I became a regular customer.

Calvin is always coming up with new and inventive ways to achieve mindful movement and beneficial exercise. I like to say he’s a “mad scientist” because of all the things he comes up with, but the term is unfair. He isn’t “mad”, he just thinks outside the box. Extremely creative while also being incredibly scientific and safe in his approach to a problem. He always finds unique solutions that fit my unique problems.
