  Refuge Church is one of the gems in the North Raleigh / Wake Forest area. I am always surprised at how loving and welcome everyone is, and how quickly they accept new people as one of their own. You'll never get lost in the crowd here. Everyone is seen and loved like family. If you're looking for a church that welcomes EVERYONE and walks and talks the real truth of the Gospel, THIS IS IT!
  
  They have contemporary music which I am surprised by how much I like it...I came from a traditional church background and find that I love this style of music at church. I probably like it so much because many of the songs we sing are based on updated versions of hymns that I am familiar with! We have three kids (ages 11, 9, and 7) and they LOVE it there, too because there is quite a large number of youth for a small church!
  
  The church is located in a kind of fun place too...they meet at New Life Camp off Durant Rd in North Raleigh. You can't see it from the road, but just follow the signs into the camp from the entrance on Durant and you'll see cars parked around the gymnasium.
  
  If you have trouble envisioning where it is, just look for the trees at the Falls of Neuse / Durant intersection....there is a Kohl's complex on one corner, a pharmacy on another corner, and a hospital on another corner. New Life Camp where Refuge is located is the remaining corner. You can't miss the entrance if you know where to look!

  Refuge is a young church plant, made up of a motley crew of people who love Jesus! My husband and I are both from out of state and we’re so thankful to have a family here in NC to worship/serve with. The teaching is sound, centered on the gospel, and the people are genuine.

  We have found a church home and a family here who love us, encourage, challenge and live life with us. God‘s word is at the center of the worship and the mission.

  My wife and I recently moved into the area so I could attend seminary at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Discovering this church was one of the best things to happen to us. We are so thankful to already feel included into this family and look forward to raising our little girl in this church this coming June!
  Biblical / Expository preaching, fantastic worship (and I do mean fantastic contemporary music, with some amazing throwbacks to hymns), exceptional child / youth ministries, and Sunday morning donuts with coffee. What more do you need? Fully satisfied.

  I have greatly enjoyed walking toward Jesus as part of Refuge Church. All facets of the church (teaching, music, fellowship, outreach) are guided by the authority of the word of God and the good news of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Both the Sunday service and weekly life group meetings are highlights of my week!
