WakeMed Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery

I can't say enough to express my gratitude to the ER dept and Heart team during my emergency visit. From the time I walked in until I was discharged I received great care and never felt concerned that my health wasn't a top priority for everyone I came in contact with. Stay away from there if you can but if you need great care and help with a Heart condition they are the BEST!

The medical staff was professional, courteous, and patient-oriented. It felt like being with family.

We received the best care!! My husband had surgery today and Dr. Pattel has done a wonderful job treating my husband under his care and Dr. Allen as well. Very good doctors!! I'm also a mother who is nursing and the whole staff made sure to accommodate me. They didn't make me feel uncomfortable in any way and made sure I had the privacy that I needed and a way for me to store my milk so it would not go bad!! Wake Med in general is awesome!!

My personal care and treatment at WakeMed Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery ranged from emergency room treatment, pre-surgery prep, surgery, post surgery, to my current state of recovery. At each of these stages, I felt I was in the hands of great caretakers, never alone in my quest, and driven toward the proper treatment and recovery. I am more than grateful that turning over my trust to the entire WM team resulted in my current state of recovery after navigating a most monumental series of tasks and efforts by both caretakers and patient alike!
