We have been trying to get answers about our 27 year old daughter's disability for many years only to hear that she has learning disabilities. No specific diagnosis. We were very frustrated because of all the problems she was having with memory, slow processing, reading, comprehension, and visual spacial issues. It was difficult for her to understand or comprehend many written instructions and even more difficult for her to remember them. I called Dr. Bloom and asked if he thought he could help her. He was willing to work with us until he found the problem. Sometimes it may not have been what we wanted to hear, but he knew exactly what he was talking about. After many sessions of testing and Dr. Bloom studying all of her many past IEP document and psych testings, he came to a conclusion that made perfect sense to us. He also told us that we should see a neuro-psychologist to dig further into his findings. We made an appointment with a neuro specialist at UNC Hospital. After several sessions of meeting with him and doing more intense testing, he confirmed ALL of Dr. Bloom's findings and was impressed with Dr. Bloom's thorough reports. My daughter was so comfortable with Dr. Bloom and really opened up to him about all of her past struggles with school and employment. He was very sympathetic and got to know her on a personal level. He also kept me in the loop and made suggestions that have really helped her. It has been a year since all of his testing and he still reaches out to check on her and her progress. Our experience with him was exceptional and I would highly recommend him.

I visited Dr. Bloom recently after a referral from my primary doctor. I was very impressed and satisfied with my overall experience. I felt very comfortable sharing my situation with him and thought his diagnostic approach was logical and practical. I would recommend him to anyone looking for help as an excellent choice. His practice is conveniently located close to Crabtree. If you’re struggling to make a choice on who to see, look no further call Dr. Bloom.

As a practicing psychologist and mother, I was very selective when choosing a psychologist to work with my son. Dr. Bloom came highly recommended by a friend (who is also a practicing psychologist and parent). My son loved working with Dr. Bloom and looked forward to going back each time. My husband and I felt very comfortable working with Dr. Bloom. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. I have referred him to numerous friends and patients.

In my mid twenties, I worked with Dr. Bloom to manage anxiety issues. He was patient and respectful and i felt that he heard me in a nonjudgmental way. Over time and with Dr. Bloom's help, I began to understand some of the underlying issues that were causing some of the anxiety. Dr. Bloom was there every step of the way and he was incredibly helpful in assisting me to find ways to handle the anxiety. Like anyone else, I still have anxious times, but the grounding and support from Dr. Bloom have helped me to live a full life unencumbered by feelings of inadequacy and anxiety. Alice G.
