Dr Whelan is great. He takes his time to understand you as a patient and ensures everything is clearly explained.

The office is convenient and the staff is top notch. Every member of staff I've met has been attentive and focused.

Dr. Whelan provided compassionate and professional care for my father who had suffered from having a Stroke and Vascular Dementia. He was always patient, caring and treated my family member with respect and dignity despite his often disorganized thought process and responses. Sadly, during this COVID pandemic, my father's dementia progressed rapidly, and he succumbed to this horrible disease a few months ago. Dr. Whelan's phone call to offer his condolences and gratitude for the time that he took care of my dad brought me to tears. I'm forever grateful for the care that my father received at North Raleigh Primary Care and highly appreciative of Dr. Whelan and the staff.

As a collaborating provider over time, I have found Dr. Whelan to be a well-informed, thoughtful, and caring physician. He does an excellent job of treating complex chronic conditions and helping his patients understand the factors that contribute to their health. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a primary care physician.
