Impressed with Children’s ministry curriculum. Great music & sound, entertaining preaching. Overall, we had a great experience!
A friendly, welcoming atmosphere, with casual dress, and relaxed feel. The worship is energetic and sincere and doesn't feel like a performance. The messages are insightful, highly relatable, and thought provoking - poignant at times. This church has a strong focus on community.
My family has been attending this church for 5 yrs. Between 2011 and 2013 we moved 3 hrs away and we tried several churches in that area. Most of those we visited multiple times and nothing felt as right. Vineyard is a family, a REAL come as you are church and we frequently made the 3 hr drive to go to church. More importantly than me liking the church my kids love the children's ministry. They provide a safe enviroment with people who really love kids and Jesus. The teachers have meetings to do lesson planning and pray for the children, they don't just show up with coloring sheets.
I have been attending this church since the 3rd Sunday of January 2007. My initial visit was a result of convenience due to my living in close proximity to the church [at the time]. I have remained because of the love and grace of God that flows freely there. Not only is the dress casual but so are the attitudes and I mean that in the best sense possible. Across the board the people don't take themselves seriously - they reserve that for the One who should be: Jesus/God/Holy Spirit. You are not overwhelmed with posturing, titles, a sense of religious entitlement, pie-in-the-sky promises, being called out [from the pulpit] and embarrassed or ridiculed and the like. The servant's heart is on display here. We love BIG and we love HARD. A common saying is that.' everyone gets to play'. Although there are elders and a governing board, EVERYONE really does get to play. There aren't a bunch of big I's and little U's or ridiculous requirements to, so much as, greet people at the door. The Bible is taught in truth and not interpreted at the whim of the pastor to suit whatever agenda he is trying to push at the moment. During my time here the church has gone through a lot (as many churches have) re: a change in our pastoral leadership but what sets us apart is HOW we went through it and WHO we clung to in the storm. I truly love this place and the influence it has had on my life, my Christian walk, my heart and everything else!
A casual, come as you are group of people dedicated to lifting high the name of Jesus Christ. I have come to love this group of pilgrims who seek the will and heart of the Father and share their experiences of God's life-changing love. Love the musical worship that is a part of each service.
