Melissa is the most professional and talented massage therapist I have ever seen, and I have used several. If you are not using Melissa, you are not using the best. Melissa was voted as one of the 4 top massage therapists in this area by a WUNC poll. Melissa skills enable her to be an early warning system for your body and she fixes what she finds.

It took me a week to write this review, mainly because I had to physically and mentally process my experience - in a good way. I had a two-hour therapeutic massage with Melissa A Dittmer at Return To Wellness LLC a week ago. Let me first say, this is NOT the place to go if you want a mimosa and spa experience massage - but this IS the place to go if you have been dealing with chronic pain, limited mobility from old injuries, stress, tension, etc - if you want results and don't mind going through the WORK to get there, then this is place to go!!

I knew I was in for a different experience, when Melissa started our discussion using a full sized human anatomy chart to show me where she would focus based on the information I shared with her. Melissa talked to me about all of my injuries, how and where I work and how it impacts the pain I am feeling, and how she could help me. She told me the areas she would focus on that wouldn't be the most pleasant but would get to the source of my pain.

Something else that we discussed and has stayed with me is that a lot of our previous traumas are carried with us and manifest as "pain" and "aches" in our body. I never considered this before our discussion, but I imagine that's where a lot of my aches and pains stemmed.

This is a lengthy review, and I have a lot of work to do to alleviate some of the pain I have experienced and carried with me, but I am very confident that I have found the right expert to help me! I highly recommend Return To Wellness LLC!!

If you're seeking a solemn, relaxed spa treatment...go somewhere else. If you need aggressive body work to release trigger points and fascia and relieve deep tissue pain and aren't afraid to wince a bit to get relief, then you absolutely need to give Melissa a call. Nobody in the Triangle does a better job of assessing and treating your body's underlying issues, not just the symptoms.

Melissa is the absolute best at what she does. She is an expert in anatomy and orthopedic massage therapy technique, but also focuses on her client’s emotional wellbeing to treat the whole person. I have several orthopedic issues and Melissa has helped me greatly reduce my pain and increase my mobility. If you have been to other massage therapists and felt like they weren’t getting to your underlying problems, Melissa can help you! Her custom aromatherapy sessions are also amazing - she just knows what you need on a particular day to help her clients leave her table feeling their best.

Melissa is fabulous! I have had lots of massages, but never the Reiki and oils treatment. It's amazing the emotional energy that the body holds. She was able to release tension in my body that I didn't even know was there and allow healing to take place. She also shared a lot about what was going on in different places in my body and things that I could do at home to further help the process of healing. When I went to work, my colleague said it looked like I was floating. If you are feeling 'stuck' in any area of your life, this is the service for you. I can't wait for my next visit!
