Last year, went to my regular doctor, and although I only wanted to get a flu shot, they told me I'd have to wait about 2 hours since I hadn't seen the doc in a year. Nope, not happening, not waiting that long just for a shot, so I left, came home, and made an online appointment with MinuteClinic. Went to CVS within a few minutes of my appointment, was promptly taken, shot was done and over with. This year, I needed the shot again and went straight for MinuteClinic. Again, showed up within a few minutes of my scheduled time slot, and I was again in and out promptly.
No brainer; it's where I will get my yearly shot.
I wouldn't really substitute a sick visit with MinuteClinic, only because my doctor has my entire history, which spans 50 years, but that's just me...
