“Dr McElveen repaired my eardrum back when I was in middle school, back in the '90s. I'd been to one doc who terrified me after vaccuuming a polyp out of my ear canal, causing some blood. As a 10- or 11-year-old kid, I was worried that Dr M would be the same, but I quickly realized why he had received at least one award. He placed a couple of utensils in my ear, including the same type of mini-vaccum the first doc had used, to inspect the situation, and I felt no pain whatsoever. He later rebuilt my thinned eardrum successfully, and to this day I have good hearing with no problems following the surgery. I believe Dr. McElveen truly is one of the best ENTs out there.”

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! My son Chene (Shane) became a patient of Dr. Edwin Cadet, heading into his freshman year of college. Chene had suffered a very serious injury to his left knee at a trampoline park, during his jr. year of high school. He tore everything that held his knee in place, The first local ortho surgeon, did his best to repair the significant damage that was done, however after 2 surgeries, to sum it up, my son was left with a very noticeable limp, and he could not completely straighten his leg, he was not able to place his foot flat on the ground so running was out of the question. Before this Chene was a scholar athlete and gifted violinist, to this day he hasn't touched the violin yet. He experienced too much trauma during that time, it was heartbreaking to watch him struggle daily. After lots of research we sought out Dr. Cadet, after consulting with him, we felt he would be able to offer Chene a better quality of life than where the other surgeon had pretty much left him. Dr. Cadet was completely honest with us about what we were facing and the scope of what he could do. The same day of the surgery, just hours later, our son was able to stand straight up on his leg, something he had not been able to do in 18 months and 2 prior surgeries!! We all cried, we were previously told that the limp and the ability to straighten his leg would not happen, that his knee/leg was as good as it would get and he'd have to live with the results. Dr. Cadet as far as we are concerned, is the best!! He gave our son the ability and confidence to be himself again, he had a lot of physical therapy and hard work to get his strength back in his leg. I should have written this review a few years ago, but I wanted to see how long and how well my son would do, years after the surgery!! He is now very athletic again and a senior in college at UNC Charlotte, works out regularly, his knee hasn't been an obstacle for him one bit! Thank you Dr. Cadet and team!!”
