“Dr McElveen repaired my eardrum back when I was in middle school, back in the '90s. I'd been to one doc who terrified me after vaccuuming a polyp out of my ear canal, causing some blood. As a 10- or 11-year-old kid, I was worried that Dr M would be the same, but I quickly realized why he had received at least one award. He placed a couple of utensils in my ear, including the same type of mini-vaccum the first doc had used, to inspect the situation, and I felt no pain whatsoever. He later rebuilt my thinned eardrum successfully, and to this day I have good hearing with no problems following the surgery. I believe Dr. McElveen truly is one of the best ENTs out there.”

“Feeling as though I was at a dead end, I was looking for answers to get my life moving again. Having read countless books, articles and journals on past-life regression, I was hoping my life would get a jump-start again by partaking. I did quite a bit of research, read reviews and looked into quite a number of hypnosis therapists. I decided on Kris and booked an appointment. Reading about sessions and actually going to experience one are two different things. I was anxious, worried, and generally wound up about going through with this once I arrived at Kris' office. From the moment I met Kris, I was put at ease and was amazed at how much effort she put into putting me at ease and getting to know me. She listened intently and it was obvious by her expressions and mannerisms that she was truly empathetic to my concerns and feelings. We started the session, which began smoothly enough, but then ran into a roadblock caused by dark energy. This energy caused me to awaken violently and Kris was so supporting of me in talking about the aspect of the energy not wanting me to see or experience past lives or look into myself. This energy had been with me for many years and was the cause of my mostly unhappy and mundane life. In the second session and with the aid of guardians and archangels I was freed from the dark energy, but not without being very emotionally and physically draining. We decided that further attempts at regression were not a good idea, and used the rest of the session to discuss anything that came up. This was very helpful in my understanding the aspects of regression and was also very calming. We decided that it would be best that I come to terms with and understand what had happened that day and that I would make another appointment when and if I felt it was time. Even if I had not made another appointment, I was absolutely amazed in how much better I felt and how the session had made me feel lighter and happier. It also allowed me to address the negative influences in life. Six days later I had my second session with Kris. It went well and I received some of the answers I was looking for and will, in the future have further sessions. For now, I am in a better place, happy, and am looking forward to enjoying life's experiences thanks to Kris' whole person and soul approach in helping me to begin to fill the emptiness within me. I will always consider Kris to be my friend and I admire her beyond words for all she has done for me. “Both of my children attend Hunter Elementary school in Raleigh, NC. My daughter has been there for four years and my son for two. I am very, very pleased with our experience. The music programs are amazing. Both of my children are in orchestra. I would never have encouraged this on my own. The program gave them the initial experience and they took to it immediately. The same goes for the arts and drama programs. Academically, Hunter is a very challenging school that goes beyond teaching the basic core when needed. My children have been pulled out for extra instruction to encourage "out of the box" thinking. The only complaint is the fluctuation of principles the last few years, but this is in the process of being mended. Hunter has a strong base population and a strong magnet population - each with different mind sets and needs. This diversity makes the school unique. It is a plus for our family, but it takes the right leader to address this diverse community and unify. The past two principles have been fine, but were not the ideal leaders for such a dynamic school. Thankfully, Wake County realizes the unique value of Hunter and is committed to finding the best leader for our children. The teachers are fantastic. We have had one teacher that was not our favorite - this is to be expected at any school. (Thankfully she also left.) The difference is at Hunter is your child is not with only one teacher all day. My child only saw this teacher for one subject and home room. In most schools- she would have been with the teacher most of the day for an entire school year. The teachers are very dedicated and I am continually amazed at how much they give to the students. Just like the school needs the right type of principle - it also needs the right types of teachers. Thankfully, Hunter has those!”
