  Great southern home cooking. Smothered and covered style. Super friendly staff. Awesome waitresses. Highly recommend.

  If you’re looking for a good, hearty breakfast, look no further than Big Ed’s.
  
  Their sausage gravy is absolutely amazing. It’s not what I was I used when it comes to sausage gravy, but after trying it I now prefer their style of it!
  
  The menu had a wide selection of Southern breakfast items and the service was great. I will definitely be back!

  The scrambled eggs were great. Not runny, yet not well done. The bacon was crisp.
  
  The only thing that prevents 5 stars is that they cooked the bacon in an area where they had just cooked onions. I know this because 1 piece of bacon had a piece of onion on it and it tasted onion.
  
  On a side note, look at the picture of what they say is sausage gravy. Someone needs the recipe, because this IS NOT sausage gravy.

  Big eds has three locations, and I absolutely love the one here in Garner. Our server was fantastic, attentive and took a lot of time to make sure we were taken care of! The food was fantastic and I can't help but order their sausage egg and cheese sandwich on rye with a side of biscuits. It's carb heavy but oh so delicious!

  Awesome little breakfast place! Very similar to the ones in downtown. The decor is very homey and the staff is very nice and attentive. The food is very country with options of eggs, biscuit, grits, fatback, hot cakes, etc. they try to locally source what they can and I ended eating eggs, link assuage, grits with hot cake. The eggs and grits with gravy was delicious. The link sausage was great when added with hot sauce! I wish the coffee was stronger but I do like that they use a local coffee company. Overall this place is a great place to come for breakfast in the Garner area. Only few tweaks need to be made but definitely recommended!
