Building a home is typically a stressful experience, and we built our new home in Pittsboro, NC with Cotton Construction while living in Georgia! You would think that would be a recipe for disaster, but the process went smoothly thanks to Bill and his capable staff. What impressed us the most was the excellent communication, being able to follow the progress using their Builder Trend site, and their willingness to make sure that all our desires for our house were fulfilled—and they were! Bill and his staff are professional, detail oriented, easy to work with and go over and above. We would highly recommend Cotton Construction!

Building a custom home is not something to be taken lightly. You must be fully immersed in the process and its critical that you have a close working relationship with your Builder.

From our initial meeting to review the empty plot of land at Seaforth Landing through to the day Bill handed us the keys we were always completely confident in his teams’ ability to build our ‘forever’ home. Every member of the team was clearly at the top of their game, they know exactly how to manage each step of the process and they helped guide us to ensure we fully understood each stage and key milestone.

Throughout the build we were in very safe hands as we were consulted at every step, decisions explained and the constant level of communication a welcome and calming influence. We were never rushed into making quick decisions & it always felt consultative and everyone on the same page, all aiming for the same goal.

Do not underestimate the importance of project management. In Mike, we were completely confident we were in safe hands as he guided us through the process, always ensuring we knew what the next phase was, what we had to do and when we had to do it by, all while keeping the budget in check. In terms of the build itself, Tim was absolutely first class. It was obvious that he took the build process personally, he always made himself available for questions (even the stupid ones!) and his attention to detail was absolutely second to none. A special mention also to Jason who is a master craftsman and epitomizes the Cotton Custom Home high standards.

Bill, Tim & Jason clearly take pride in their work and they each consistently went above and beyond to ensure our home was finished beyond perfection. We did not need to point out potential defects, they were all well out in front of us with much higher standards of workmanship. Every stage of the process we grew more and more confident in the Team as they continued to make our dream into a reality.

In the year since we moved in, ‘Team Cotton’ has continued to provide a Five Star service. Their post-delivery customer service must set them apart from other custom home builders. Anita has been outstanding, managing the 1st anniversary review & addressing any questions we have had quickly and flawlessly.

In summary, we cannot overstate how highly we regard Bill and his team. Looking back over the build process and the subsequent year since we moved in we can say without any doubt that Bill & his Team were amazing and we don’t consider them as our builders; They are all our friends.

We met Bill and Mike with Cotton Custom Homes after meeting with another highly recommended custom builder in the area. We were instantly impressed with the professionalism and value we felt as a potential customer. We knew right away we were going to trust Bill and team with building our dream home. It was the right decision. Bill was there through every step of the architectural design phase and property layout and permitting. Mike was there through every step of the vendor selection process and purchasing and Tim was there making sure the construction phase went as perfect as we could ever imagine. In the end, our business partnership transformed into a friendship. On the first meeting we were given an estimate move in date of approximately 7 months from groundbreaking to closing. We bought a house that was built by Cotton Custom Homes and within a month had some issues that ended in water damage (unrelated to their construction). They were extremely accommodating to help us find a crew to return it to its original state. The house is well built and has so many details, you can tell they really care about their work.
