“I don’t normally review gas stations. Mostly they’re all the same. But this gas station here is my local go-to and has been for some time. The staff is usually attentive and friendly but today I was pretty astonished by a small act of kindness. In hindsight I wish I would have gotten her name, but today I stopped in to buy a couple packs of cigarettes, smoked one before leaving the parking lot and set the rest of my full pack on the windowsill. It wasn’t until a couple hours later I realized what I had done, and I swung by on a whim hoping they would still be there. I pulled up and to my dismay, they were not longer sitting outside, but I went inside to ask the cashier if anyone had turned them in. She turned around to where her personal belongings were put away behind the counter with a smile and pulled out a pack of Newport 100’s. It may seem like a small thing, but it wasn’t her job to set them aside in a safe place for the remainder of her shift to see if anyone would claim them. It really made my day. From the outside looking in you might think there isn’t anything special about this gas station, but I would have to argue that you’re mistaken. Most of the staff with a few exceptions make coming there for whatever you need; gas, a coffee, tobacco, a pleasure. I’m really happy to be in a neighborhood with such kind and thoughtful people. If you ever need anything and you’re out near NCSU don’t hesitate to stop in.”

“The staff is very friendly and helpful. During a period of crisis, they worked diligently to make sure our needs were met! They offer free coffee (in your cup) on Wednesday’s, which we take full advantage of! We stop here often, and never leave dissatisfied. I don’t know why someone would give a negative review on a place of business that sells merchandise produced by company headquartered in another country. The local store is the backbone of a community and employs local people. Do we have the same mentality for all retail stores?”

“I buy my gas here more often than any other place. Occasionally, I stop in to buy a lottery ticket or two. I'm guessing that the owner and his family staff it, and everyone I've encountered is very friendly and nice. I know these gas station stores have higher prices than food stores - I would expect that. Someone said they don't make coffee in the morning, but I only drink my coffee at home. Their gas prices are about 2-3 cents more than the gas stations further down on Western, but I don't mind because I like having a specific gas station where I buy gas. They keep the store and surrounding area very clean, too.”

“The best Circle K/Shell station in Raleigh, and in all of North Carolina and Virginia as far as I'm concerned. All of the staff is friendly and nice, but my absolute favorite is Shannon, I love love love when I come to get gas or whatever and she's my cashier. She always seems to brighten my day just by her smile and being who she is , and she's always awesome with every customer. Keep up the good work y'all?”

“A nice clean gas station just off of Highway 55 as you enter Cary... and a direct access exit from it onto HWY 55? Yep. I think it's the only one with access this easy on HWY 55 between Durham and Apex. Oh... then there the fact that it's also got a convenience store, a post office, a huge as well as nice aquarium, and ample pumps to make sure you never have to wait even at 6PM on a weekday. It's hard to see it from 55, but once you use this station, you'll make it your regular spot for gas on your commute.”
