“So, my boss asked me to look into tig welding classes. I don't do it daily, but I need to learn how to do it, specifically stainless steel. I travel for work, and sometimes don't know my schedule, so I didn't want to enroll at my community college. I did a search for weekend workshops for tig welding, and found Holohans hot rod shop. He offers a Saturday workshop, that includes tig welding and metal fabrication at his shop in North Carolina. I brought my 16 year old son and brother with me. The 3 of us are working on a project car from the 80s, so besides the tig welding, the metal fabrication training was perfect. My brother and I have mig welded before, but had no experience with tig. The 3 of us didn't know what to expect from the class, but were looking forward to going. I can't say enough about how positive of an experience this was. My 16 year old never welded anything before, and he picked it right up. There were 5 people in the workshop. Even though Dan divides his time equally between everyone, it seemed like if you needed help, he was right there to offer a suggestion. The workshop atmosphere very laid back, and he makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. There a couple breaks during the day, where he gives you a tour of the shop and his current projects. After the workshop, I can't go get a job as a tig welder, but I was able to lay down a bead, and weld a lap joint and butt joint. Even if you never welded anything before, your skill level does not matter. There is a lot of joking around, and there is no judgement from anyone. Dan was very patient with my 16 year old, and made him feel at ease. If your looking for an intro into tig welding and metal fabrication, this workshop is for you. My 16 year old got to use Beverly shears, a band saw, pnuematic grinder, knows what a press brake is used for, and can use a bead roller. He used a tape measure, took his own measurements, and made the cuts/bends by himself. By the end of the day, we built an inner wheel well, using all the techniques learned. I really can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this class. If Dan offers an intermediate level workshop, or a class specifically on stainless, we will be going back. Even if I get nothing out of of it, I would go back just to hang out, have fun and talk about hot rods with Dan. He's obviously a rockstar/top shelf welder and fabricator, but more importantly for this, hes an easy to understand and down to earth instructor. My 16 old who doesn't seem to get excited for anything, is still talking about this class and the weekend getaway. That says a lot.”

“I took my F-250 to Ed’s recently based on a referral from a friend. They exceeded the expectations I had even from the strong referral. They took the time to diagnose the issues (there was more than one, a total of three unrelated sensors), got it fixed right, and charged a fair price. I was told before going that Ed stands by his word and treats his customers fairly, and that certainly seemed to be the case. They will be my first stop for any truck or diesel needs from now on.”

“I got an awesome deal on my 2009 Honda Fit, it only had like 40,000 miles on it and I paid $5000. Yes, they are salvaged titles, but I’ve never had a problem with my car in the two years that I’ve owned it, and neither have my grandmother or father, who also bought their newest cars there. The best part is that if you need work done on your car, he will do it without charging you for labor and he’ll also help you find the best deal on whatever parts you need. I absolutely recommend buying your vehicle from here, my family has 3 and we have not been disappointed.”

“Chris and his crew have always taken good care of me and my family. They replaced the motor in my mother's car. I have watched Chris, on more occasion than one, offer to drive customers home while their car is fixed. They provide quality customer service as well as vehicle service. They stay busy so call first and make an appointment or ride by and see what's happening. I will be back.”
