“I just started going to this church about 6 months ago, and when I leave there I feel free of all the hurt and pain I have suffered in the past few years. I believe that god is helping me through the hard times since my husband died, and I believe that god is leading me in the right direction, and love this church. I haven’t felt this love like they are my only family. The preacher and his wife are just blessings to me and I feel like a new door has opened for me , thanks to the pastor and his wife. I am not in fear anymore, because I think I have a wonderful family, that will be there for me in any sisuatition I’m in . I thank god for me finding a place that I feel like I have a family that does care. In Jesus name I pray!!!”

“(3.5 stars. Food alone would be a solid 4 stars while overall dine-in experience would be a weak 3.) Located at 3925 Sedgebrook Street in High Point, Kaya offers Korean and Japanese cuisine. Lunch specials are available. Tucked into a shopping center off 68 near the High Point-Greensboro border, Kaya hits a number of hidden gem checkboxes: it's unassuming and easily overlooked, it's family-run and popular among locals, and the food is, by and large, good. That said, I would hesitate to give this place a rave. A no-frills establishment, Kaya is nevertheless quiet and clean. It offers a familiar selection of hibachi dishes, but Korean is the main draw here. A large, pictorial Korean menu greets you upon entry. For those seeking authenticity, dishes like spicy squid or braised pig trotters let you know that you are in the right place. My wife and I opted to split a seafood pancake, a bimimbap, and a spicy pork. As expected, they came with an array of banchan, and portions were plentiful. Though food quality varied, nothing was worse than average. The spicy pork was delicious. It was served hot with onions and slathered in a delectable sauce. The seafood pancake's dough-to-seafood ratio favored the former though it was still quite tasty. That said, the bimimbap was a mixed bag. I appreciated the array of vegetables included though it was fairly light on meat. It also was not served sizzling, but that was my fault for not realizing that I needed to order the dol (stone pot) version. Staff here are polite, but they will leave you alone unless you specifically request something. Chalk it up to custom rather than any kind of intentional indifference. For what Kaya charges (entrees in the teens), the plastic silverware and styrafoam cups felt like penny-pinching. The variety of Kaya's offerings and the quality of the spicy pork alone make me want to give this place another chance, but I would probably opt for takeout rather than dine-in in the future.”

“I had a recent appointment with Heather. I was nervous because I had seen the same hair dresser for years but just moved to the area and needed to find someone local. She did an amazing job and I am very happy with how it turned out. She took the time to make sure we were on the same page about how I wanted my highlights done. Highly recommend!! Thanks again Heather!”

“I have volunteered for a volunteer fire department in every state I transferred to. I have been a fire fighter in South Carolina, North Carolina, Michigan, and California. This is hands down the best department I was ever a part of. They represent the true meaning of family between its members. There is so much experience and skill that volunteers out of there. I miss my extended family there every day.”

“I first seen Doc Talis at WOMACK Army medical center on Fort Bragg in 2020. I had severe arthritis from a jump injury that occurred in late 2018 when I broke at least half the bones in my foot. In fact the orthopedic surgeon described my foot as “kibble” and did not feel comfortable operating. Fast forward 2 years, the bones in my foot healed however the cartilage did not. My first of impression of Doc Talis was, either this man was very arrogant or he was the best foot surgeon in the state. He explained what was wrong with my foot and expressed the difficulties of the area’s that needed to be fused together. He then told me that he was probably the only Doc that could do it. After leaving the appointment I was uncertain that I was going to go through the surgery because of the risks. I was later advised by my PA that Doc Talis was exactly who he said he was. He told me that he was probably the best foot doctor out there and that if he said he could do it, he could. Also his name is literally a foot bone. Anyways, he worked with me to scheduling the surgery based on my work schedule. When i woke he told me the surgery went well and he was satisfied with the work he did. Went into recovery thinking it was going to be 3 months zero weight bearing. At my 2 month follow up he was satisfied enough with the progress to let me walk in a boot! At 3 months I was back in shoes! 4 months I was progressing towards running again. Everyone heals differently but he puts the parts in place for them to heal. My point is, I would highly recommend him to anyone. Follow his rules and I am %100 sure he will get you back on your feet. I am currently 7 months post op and training to run a marathon at 1 year. Thanks again Doc!”
