These people are so nice
Yesterday [7-14-20-19] I visited St. Paul UCC in New Bremen so that I could be present for "a light meal and a time of fellowship" following the memorial service and the graveside service for an 88-year-old friend who had been born in -- and had died in -- New Bremen.
My friend had been a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen; however, yesterday's memorial service had been held at Immanuel Church of Kettlersville, Ohio -- a vastly smaller building -- because that church is air-conditioned.
I learned -- from a poster on the wall in one of the hallways at St. Paul UCC in New Bremen – that that church hosts an LGBTQ youth group. Young people from all over that part of Ohio are invited to participate.
The church is very friendly and the two pastors are also. Nice warm feeling.
