Love the paved trail. It’s nice to have a nature park that has a paved trail, on days after a heavy rain. Great place to walk dogs. They recently added a playground but it’s not open yet. Picnic tables nearby. There are porta-potties located at the start of the trail and half way point. There are a few ponds that are located near the paved trail.

The Forest Run MetroPark Timberman Ridge Area is an excellent destination for those who enjoy a good hike or walk. With multiple trails to choose from, there's something for everyone. On my last visit, I decided to take the perimeter trail, which loops around the park and offers a variety of landscapes to admire. Along the way, I was treated to breathtaking views of distant mountains, tranquil lakes, dense woodlands, verdant wetlands, and rolling fields. Although the trails are well-maintained, the dirt path can become quite muddy in certain areas and is scattered with animal droppings, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear. Overall, I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a nature fix!
Even with the rain it's gorgeous!! Nice and quite spot for lunch.. It has beautiful landscape and peaceful and relaxing vibes. It wasn't busy and also allowed a lot of off trail exploration! Don't ever let the rain stop you from exploring. I would definitely recommend this location.
Enjoyable walking trails. Main trail is paved smoothly and wide. Lots of songbirds and lovely scenery.
This is a great park!
No playgrounds on this “branch” of the two Forest Run parks (the wildlife preserve one has some), but still plenty to do. Tons of trails and walking paths, some paved, some grass, that loop all over the park. An excellent place to take your dog. Also, there are at least three catch and release fishing ponds here as well.
Very clean, well maintained park.
