(February 26, 2022, 10:01 am)Dr. Gowda was the third hand surgeon I saw for my painful base of thumb (CMC joint) arthritis over the past two years. The first had given me a cortisone shot that didn’t work, the second was patronizing and made me feel like just another surgery patient. Dr. Gowda, on the other hand, compassionately listened to my concerns, explained his surgical technique, and gave me another cortisone shot to see if I could get some relief. I’m happy to say this cortisone shot is working and for now I’m able to delay complicated hand surgery with a long recovery. When I get to the point of deciding on surgery, Dr. Gowda is definitely who I will trust for the best outcome and the best experience.

He takes the time with you to assure you and to make sure you understand what all the procedure entails and what you can expect afterwards with recovery.
