Lancaster Montessori Preschool

My husband I are very thorough and picky, especially when it comes to our kids and their education, so we were very pleased to discover that Lancaster Montessori is an available resource for our daughters. Our oldest, Amelie, is three this year, and even though we spent countless hours talking and reading to her before this year, she simply blossomed once she began preschool at LMS, with Ms. Karin's guidance. She really enjoys the combination of independent education while also working with classmates and learning social skills. Most recently, I was impressed when Amelie came home sounding out and spelling words; though I had tried to encourage her to do this in the past, she really got into it when her teacher offered her tiny toys that gave her a physical and visual reason to enjoy the new "game." Dorian and I also really appreciate the cooperative nature of the school, since we feel involved and we are able to get to know the other students and parents after just a few months.

Lancaster Montessori is, simply put, the best value in education in Lancaster, Ohio. I have a five year old - who has just finished preschool - who now reads to me at night (Magic Treehouse Books - not just Dr. Seuss!), and a four year old who is sounding out words, on her way to the same level of proficient reading that her older sister has achieved! Tuition at LMS is a huge bargain as compared to an identical Montessori education in Columbus! This school is orderly, the teachers are highly experienced, and the results are just fantastic.
