Christian K-9 Academy

We took our 7 month old Rottweiler (Kobe) to Christians k-9 academy last month, & it was the best money spent! Kobe was there for 15 days...he came back more disciplined with recalling , knows how to sit, lay down, stay in place, heel, and he can WALK OFF LEACH!!! That in itself was worth it. This was our first time leaving Kobe for such a long duration of time, but Christian provided us with photos and videos occasionally showing us his progress.. which made it easier knowing he was in good hands. I’ve referred all of my friend/family members to him, and I would highly recommend him to you all as well. You won’t regret it 👍🏻

We sent our 10 month old huskey/German Shepard, Bella, for the two week training program. She came home responsive to demands and was much calmer! All of our concerns prior to her going to Christian k9 have made huge progress. Mitch also helped us learn ways to keep up with her training and made the transition from training camp to home very simple. He has followed up with us since Bella has been home and has checked in on her a few times which is very appreciated and his compassion for the dogs is obvious. I highly recommend this training camp!

I work for a police department in central Ohio who recently was given the opportunity for a K-9 unit. Being a new unit there is a lot of knowledge that I am personally trying to gain to make my K-9 and the unit better for the city we work. Mitch started to come to our K-9 group and requested no compensation volunteering to help work our dogs. Mitch provides good knowledge for the betterment of the working dogs which in turn also makes the whole unit better. After working with Mitch for some time now, it is evident that his understanding of K-9 training translates into the dog he is working. This understanding applies to both working and personal dogs. I recommend Mitch for any of your K9 needs, he will make a great resource for your companion.

What can I say about Mitchell and his knowledge and expertise in canine training? A lot!!! I met Mitchell a couple of years ago when he came in to assist on one of our training days and man did he leave an impression! I struggle with my Malinois’s out and finding that right level of titration using the e-collar. He just loves to bite and does it very well! Mitch had a very good point that I still use to this day! There are a lot of great trainers out there and you can learn from them all but Mitch takes hoods time with the handler to figure things out so training is more enjoyable! Did I mention that he’s one of the best decoys I’ve ever seen??? If you want your dog tested, have Mitch get in the suit and you’ll see what your dog is made of! I trust Mitch and his K-9 academy with my partner and I’d definitely take the time and spend the money for a personal dog! He’s one of the best and you’ll be happy with your dogs progress.

Christian has trained with our active L.E. K9 training group several times. He is incredibly knowledgeable of animal behavioral concepts and how to problem-solve. Christian has helped build drive in my K9 partner, which really shows an increased sense of self confidence in my dog. It goes without saying, a police dog should be confident to engage a suspect in a variety of scenarios and in unusual environments. When Christian joins us for training he is eager to push the dogs to have new experiences while always considering how to build drive and confidence. Without hesitation, I trust Christian to have the best interest of my K9, and I, at heart when we put together a plan for training. I won't train with "just anybody." Bad training could cost either, or both of us, our life.
