While I have not had a family member here, I have had several patients I have treated for home health after a stay with Mother Angeline for skilled rehab. Their team always does a fantastic job at progressing them in their therapy so they can return home! And the patients always have great things to say about the staff and care that was provided.
I've worked in long term care for almost 30 years. This facility is beyond a very nice place to work. Staff is very caring and live by the vision of the company. I would recommend for a place of employment and to place your loved ones!
I had the opportunity to provide interim leadership for Mother Angeline McCrory Manor this past fall. Mother Angeline embodies the mission of the Carmelite Sisters and provides exceptional care to those they serve. I'm proud of the work they do, especially now during such challenging times.
I think the people that have posted less than favorable reviews should do a little more homework. Unless you are extremely rich and can afford a private nurse 24/7 for your loved one, you will not find a better facility than Mother Angeline McCrory. My mother (living on her own at 104 years old) decided it was time for a full care. She had her full faculties mentally but her body was failing. We searched many facilities and were amazed at how few passed our "would we put mom in there" test.
No nursing home is going to replace a person's home. There are no perfect ones. You can't please everyone all of the time. But I can tell you this, my mother was loved by everyone who cared for her. They genuinely showed compassion. And she loved them as well. I talked with her many times about her treatment and she said nothing but positives 95% of the time. Yes, I wish they had enough staff so that each person had a nurse with them all of the time but we know that's not possible. Each caregiver has many patients with a wide variety of needs. Volunteer as an aid and work beside these people for a day and then complain.
You can't go wrong with Mother Angeline's. -Ed Whitney
