What attracted me to this church?
I didn't have to dress up!!
For the first time I understood a bible teaching
Community/fellowship
What has kept me here? The above and:
-In community, we learn to love/serve God together. To forgive. I can be myself and accepted, which is rare to find.
-We are taught to study the bible, to critically think, and apply the bible to our lives/situations, which is rare to find.
-The leaders are willing try new things and if it doesn't work, they admit it, and learn from it. (I have always greatly respected this) Do you know how rare that is?
-Service to the community and around the world.
-Plural leadership, which gives accountable. This is also rare to find (in my experience, boards (often the people with money, run the church, and if they don't like the pastor, for whatever reason (often trivial not biblical) they get rid of them or we've all heard about pastors public falls)
-Financial prudence, openness and accountability.

Is the church perfect? No, there is no such church, but I am very thankful God brought me to a church where God transformed lives, including mine!

I love all of these people. I have only been a member just over a year. When I called out God answered with this group of true believers. My home group are the most loving and accepting people I have ever met. Come and see for yourself!

What an incredible mix of lecturers available at this place. The biblical content and depth is remarkable, even as they are able to put so many different teachers up (with a diversity of ages and backgrounds). Bringing the Bible to bear on life's issues is an amazing gift from this church.
Yep, imperfect people following a perfect savior. Thankful to have found this body of committed believers.

I’ve been going to Dwell since I was in high school. I have met some of my best friends, including my husband from being apart of this community! I wouldn’t trade it for anything! At one point in college, I stopped going to meetings for awhile to figure out what I really wanted for my life. People weren’t mad or upset that I left. They we concerned for my well being because they new I was dealing with terrible anxiety. Eventually when I decided I wanted to get back into going to church, it was communicated to me that I was welcome to come back at any point. This church has taught me so much about how to love others like Christ loves us. It’s also taught me so much about the Bible, which is so fascinating and encouraging and an important key to growing in your relationship with God!
