When I first bought my house, I didn't know much about slate roofs. The first company I reached out to didn't show up. I saw Durable Slate's truck and gave them a call. They were prompt, helpful, did a few repairs and recommended return visits every few years. They've been back twice; the second time they said the repairs could wait a year or two. They came back a few days ago and replaced a few slates for what I think is a fair price. I know this company does really big jobs, but they've treated me, a homeowner of modest means, like I meant big business to them. I couldn't be happier, and highly recommend them.

BTW slate is great--as long as I spend a few hundred bucks every few years, I'll never need to spend a few thousands replacing (and wasting) asphalt shingles every ten or twenty. In my book that's an excellent trade off.

I have been using Durable Slate to maintain my 123 year old slate roof on my house. I have had a large amount of work done over the last few years including the replacement of 4 or 5 originally valleys on the roof. Their work is always top notch and they are very responsive and professional. The most important thing about having work done on a historic home is being able to trust the contractors. I always have full trust and confidence that the work is being done correctly and that my historic home is being taken care of.
