  The food is amazing and very tasty. The atmosphere is so welcoming and homey; the staff is friendly and reminds you of family. The chicken wings are delicious, the dirty rice I ordered is amazing, and I cannot say enough about the cornbread!!!!! Come get some home cooked soul food!!

  I was advised to try this restaurant by a good friend. I took my sister and she and I had some delicious dishes. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! It met and exceeded my expectations of good New Orleans style cuisine! Definitely going to be a regular.

  One of the best New Orleans finest meals I’ve had. From their Worlds Famous Authentic Chicken Gumbo to their Cajun Rice, everything was sinfully delicious. Their Baked Mac & Cheese was just right and their Southern Mixed Greens were flavorful with a light spicy kicked to it. Definitely impactful. If you like adult beverages, please try their Who Dat Punch. Deliciously good. Parking available surrounding the restaurant. Handicapped accessible also. Drive thru accessible if you prefer not to dine in. Their service was stellar, friendly, professional, and top notch quality. Thank you, Bobbie and Kim! 👏👏👏👏👏

  The joint did not have the old Long John's Silver look or feel. It was a vibrant and colorful place with a very authentic mural with a great NoLa look and feel. Even the sticky floors reminded me of the south. I had the Chef Special and the catfish was juicy with a great thin breading. The wings were supposed to be hot and spicy but tasted more like sweet and spicy. The gumbo had a excellent tasting thin roux with yummy sausage and chicken. However it was missing a bit of the holy trinity with no okra or celery. I was a bit disappointed. Yolanda was a great host and is the reason for an extra star and a half.

  First of all, I have wanted to try this restaurant for so long and had it saved as one of my places to go, so I finally went this past Sunday. Do not let the outside fool you, although you will be attracted to the bright green and purple sign. I wanted to dine in, but I wasn't sure if that was something that I could do because of COVID, so I went through the drive-through.
  
  The menu is very large. Take your time. You are allowed to do that. I placed my order for a seafood platter, from which you can choose any fish, and I had 4 small-medium sized pieces, a handful of juicy and plump shrimp, hush puppies, fries, and one side of your choice. I chose dirty rice; it's very flavorful, has enough spice, and is very delicious. I also got the medium gumbo. Once I got to the window to pay for my food, I was told that it would be ready in 15 minutes. 15 minutes went by, so I went back around to the drive-through to pick up my food.
  
  I didn't even make it home before I started eating. When I tell you this food was amazing, and hot in temperature, and had no fishy taste from either the perch fish or shrimp, they were not salty at all. They nailed it. It had the right amount of seasoning and spice. The shrimp, fries, fish, and hush puppies were all cooked to perfection, and thankfully, no oil-drenched food soaked through my to-go container, and the seafood gumbo was delicious. It comes with white rice and two dinner rolls. I underestimated the amount of food I received, and it all makes sense why the price of their food is equivalent to that of a restaurant you typically dine in. Back to the gumbo, I loved the ratios of shrimp to beef sausage to chicken and crab, which made it a perfect seafood gumbo. The perfect amount of spice and seasoning, and the soup itself was good for my soul. Oh, I love how I didn't have to ask for condiments, plastic wear, and napkins to be included in the bag:) I've never been to New Orleans, but this is definitely authentic food. Give it a try. Great people, great food. I'll be back, hopefully to dine in.
