Best nature center in the metro park system. The living stream is very unique and fun for the kids. The bison herd is unique to this park. Huge park with many playgrounds and trails.
Absolutely beautiful, like all of the Metro Parks! Loved watching the bison, they came right near the fence so we could see them up close and hear them munching on the grass! Walked down by the river amongst beautiful fall leaves. Can't wait to go back to to see more of this park!
Update;
We have family functions a few times a year here. Nice a clean. Many Rangers are around to make sure everyone is doing what they are supposed too. They also have maintenance make sure the park is clean. Never had any trouble at all here. Nice paths for a good hike. The playgrounds are up to date. Bathroom is generally clean and stocked.
I loved the nature trail. The Bison were out. We could see them great and then it was getting a little dark and the deer begin to come out of woods. It was a perfect evening for the grand kids.
Definitely a spacious part with a lot to do and a lot to see. Always beautiful. I always feel safe here even though it is in a remote section of Franklin county because the fishing game officers are constantly patrolling. All around good place!
