We had a great time. Our 3 year old loved being able to get in and touch trains. The staff/volunteers were all really nice.
Staff/volunteers are very informative and friendly. Had a great time and my son loved it as well. Train ride is a bit hot but to be expected when it's 90° out.
The museum is run by volunteers. The depot was most interesting. The train ride was short and sweet. I understand the weeds grow up around the tracks, but the majority of the area was overgrown. There are weak places in the floor of the cars we toured. The train parts were not organized or marked for display. Rather these items are strewn along and the weeds cover quite a lot of what might be catalogued and displayed. The box cars have been vandalized. One of the out buildings had a new roof. It would be wonderful if someone with the knowledge could write a grant and use that for the major improvements that are needed to perserve the history of the railway.
This is a very cute train museum with a passenger train ride included in admission. The employees are incredibly nice and obviously passionate about sharing the history in these cars.
The Ohio Railway Museum was so much fun and there was tons of trains to see we even got to ride on a real train. amazing to see all the different kinds of trains. There's not too much to do there but it's a great adventure if you're in the area.
