“Trying to decide on the perfect engagement ring is difficult at the best of times, but with most stores shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic I was truely worried about whether I would be able to find what I was looking for. Fortunately for me, Jim and Sophia at DP&J were not deterred by these challenges. Jim and Sophia took the time to sit with me in a series of 1 on 1 appointments to introduce me to the world of gems and jewelry, teaching me the basics of what makes a fantastic diamond and providing detailed examples from their inventory. As I came to know what I wanted in the ring, they worked with suppliers (many of whom were closed) to get different gems sent so I could compare them in person. Lastly, upon deciding on the right ring, they worked with their contacts to make sure I received it in a timely manner even though the design I wanted was not initially available due to various shutdowns across the country. My experience at Diamonds, Pearls and Jade was fantastic, and I hope to be back before too long to work on wedding rings!”

I recently decided to have annual hearing evaluations and had been astonished, following a very thorough two-hour evaluation, to learn that there had been no charge for that service. I later learned that the OSU College of Arts and Sciences is currently underwriting the cost of those evaluations. Obviously, some of the services of the OSU Department of Speech and Hearing Science Audiology Clinic, for example, purchases of hearing aids, do involve a charge. Several weeks after my evaluation, I received a very complete written report of their findings and recommendations.”

“It's pretty good fresh. To give you an idea of how it squares up we'll use Caine's as our comparison. Mothercluckers as far as taste is superior. The breading has more flavor and the chicken is more tender. I would have liked a little more breading I think. The tenders themselves though are MASSIVE probably about twice the size of Caine's. Now as far as texture it's not as crunchy as Caine's. They have the age old soggy breading problem. So it doesn't have quite the same crunch as Caines. Granted I didn't eat mine till about 10 minutes after purchase so that gave condensation plenty of time to do its work. But if it were fresh it might match Caine's in texture. The fries are better than Caine's. I believe they are fresh cut but I'm not 100% sure. But they have a good seasoning on them. The location of this restaurant. Literally a hole in the wall. Almost, impossible to see because there is no signage whatsoever. It's beneath the indian Kitchen in this tiny room with one man working it. There's graffiti all over the inside which is pretty entertaining. An experience for sure. You should go inside. Overall decent place. I think they could make some improvements but it's pretty good.”

“I just want to say I was extremely weary of being taken to this facility because of the reputation of most state facilities. However I was treated with respect the entire time I was staying. The doctors, nurses and staff there were amazing and they truly helped me save my life. I will never forget them. The food is pretty bad but other than that, the staff was in tune with the needs of the patients and everyone was very welcoming.”
