  Why I chose The Legacy Memory Care at Wellspring
  When one is faced with a decision to move a love one to an Alzheimer’s care facility, it is quite traumatic experience. In essence you are handling your loved one to the permanent care of others. You can do all the research you want, and you will find someone who loves a facility and someone who does not.
  The key for me was mainly the staff and secondly the cleanliness / maintenance of the facility and last but not least were activities offered for their patients to be engaged as long as possible during their stay. Remember the decision you make is as much for you as it is for your loved one.
  I started with Wellspring as a daycare for my wife 3 days a week for several hours. This was a great program for me because the transition was more for me than my wife to feel confident she was in good hands.
  Wellspring Memory Care has wonderful friendly staff and responsive management to any of my concerns or questions that may develop. I know my wife is in better care than I could ever offer.
  In essence, I am relaxed, my wife is in great hands because of the trust and care of the staff that takes care of her.

  I cannot say enough good things about Wellspring Legacy Memory Care Center. We were fortunate to be able to move my mother there after she suffered 4 severe strokes in 4 weeks, leaving her cognitively impaired, with no short term memory, jumbled long term memory, patch blindness, balance issues and sundown syndrome. I live out of state, and moving Mom to be near me is not an option for multiple reasons, so I was concerned about her care/being kept informed etc.. It has been a non-issue.
  Every single person in the Memory care unit went, and continues to go above and beyond to ensure Mom is safe, feels secure, is well cared for, and that I am always kept fully informed and updated. The ‘boots on the ground’ aides are phenomenal- the sincere caring they have for the residents they work with is apparent in every thing they do. I visit frequently, and am always amazed at how hard these folks work, always with a smile on their face and an abundance of compassion for those in their care. They are proactive in notifying me of suggested changes for Mom’s benefit, always having an eye for her safety and comfort. Tara and Anna are just two of the many fantastic aides my mother has been fortunate to have care for her. They are the epitome of who you want caring for your family member. These women are sharp, never miss a thing, and conduct themselves with such grace. Every time I visit, I leave confident that my mother is in the best of hands. Angel Lawhorn, the Memory Care Director, is amazing. She takes her job to heart, and gets as ‘boots on the ground’ as her staff, to ensure all is taken care of to her high standards- going so far as to drop everything to help us move furniture when we were setting up Mom’s room for her! She continues to actively plan for and implement improvements to the programs/services offered in the Memory Care unit, already a great place to be. To be fully confident in the highest quality of care Mom is receiving is an invaluable gift. I am grateful every day that Mom is cared for by the wonderful staff at Wellspring Legacy Memory Care.

  Wellspring is clean, up to date and friendly. My sister Jill has been here a few times due to falls and other misfortunes. They make her feel comfortable and safe. Christa and Lisa in the admission department did all the work to get my sister in, last minute on a Friday. I was thankful for that.
