Mt. Airy Arboretum

Great place to get some fresh air!

It will be beautiful when everything gets landscaped. Walked one of the trails.

This place has it all and is nothing short of amazing. With running trails both paved and in the woods and secluded picnic areas with personality, there is always something fun and outdoorsy to do here. I've loved every minute that I've had the pleasure to experience in this magical little getaway from the city.

It's secluded and green with hints of color. It's the perfect place to walk in a natural setting. I've been going there for years and there's never a crowd.

Nice park with a variety of activities available. You can reserve a shelter, picnic, hike on trails, or walk on pavement paths and still get close to nature. The Arboretum is a nice stop, though does not offer much except pretty flowers. Everyone's Treehouse is a wheelchair accessible area that goes somewhat into the forest above a walking trail. It doesn't go too far back, unfortunately. Except the trails, I would say this park is relatively handicap accessible to a certain degree.
