I went in to buy paint for a custom entry to match our home that is currently under construction. I found the personnel to be super knowledgeable and helpful with paint selections. These days at Big Box stores the knowledge level of the paint department is basic at best.
I even questioned the need for primer on our project. But, the lady there patiently explained to me that primer is a preparation on new cement surfaces. It helped us avoid making a big mistake by assuming that primer was not needed.
