  My child just started lessons, and we came here for an instrument. The proprietor was helpful, pleasant, didn't make me feel dumb when I didn't know things, and taught ne what I needed to know. Prices reasonable for all you get!

  OMG blown away by the building, history, and the amazing customer service given by Mike today. I can not say enough good things about this place. I absolutely love their rental program as well.

  As a violin player of over 20 years, it is abundantly clear that Baroque Violin Shop cares not only about their work, but also their customers. I came to pick up two Level 1 books for my student and a new set of strings for myself. Note for anyone interested, they have *only* Level 1 books, so if you need Level 2 or higher, you will have to look elsewhere.
  
  It was my first time there, so I ended up going to the wrong building (they have an administrative building in a beautiful restored 1800s home and another inventory shop/workshop across the street). I was kindly redirected to the right building, where Jeremy gave me a tour of their workshop. He gave me a tune-up on my violin and a rosin on the house, as well as one of the books for my student. I was shocked at his generosity. I will be back for all my violin needs. They truly deserve all the rave reviews they have.

  I came here from out of town and got here a bit before my scheduled time and their hours, but they let me in early, which was great since I was pressed for time. Jeremy was extremely helpful with my purchase of a violin and case. He helped me find a great option for my price point and gave me the time I needed to choose. I didn't feel pressure to choose a specific violin, nor did he try to upsell.
  Excellent service, I would definitely recommend their services for purchasing or renting a violin.

  Fabulous place to see if you like Violins, Violas, Cellos, and bass. Violins are the largest component of this shop. It is much larger than you would expect and the range and selection of instruments is mind blowing. Mike gave us a tour of two of their buildings, one is the administration area which the house was built in 1805. We enjoyed the knowledge and history explained to us in regards to how a violin was made and created. My daughter was impressed with the range of violins she was able to try, and while we were tempted to buy one while there on this trip, we felt that we need to spend more time here to select one. The staff are super friendly and nice, and really make an effort to accommodate what your in search of specifically or assist in ooi thing you towards what you may need. We definitely recommend visiting, and we are planning to make a return trip back so we can spend more time in order to make a selection.
