“Ignore all of the one-star reviews here. I know some of the people who posted them personally, and they’re messing around. St. Gertrude School is a great Catholic School for great kids! The teachers are (for the most part) awesome. They care for their students and actually teach us things. The curriculum is great, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The projects were fun, the workload was decent, and the teachers were engaging and amazing! Contrary to what one of my former peers said, this school is NOT snobby. I feel that people for the most part deserve their punishments. However, I will say this: I feel that junior high here was not as good as middle and primary school. The teachers are equally as brilliant, but the disciplinary system can be a bit confusing and skewed at times. Usually, to get a demerit (3 demerits = detention), it requires something like insulting the teacher, but there have been rare cases of a teacher giving a kid a demerit for something comparatively small, like talking without raising his hand. It really depends on the mood of the teacher giving the demerit, but you do have to take into account the fact that the children who get demerits for relatively small things are also the ones who wear the teachers’ patience down the most. For the most part, though, the system works quite smoothly. In conclusion, I would highly recommend SGS. If you have high expectations (parent or student), go here!”

“All of the teachers at Springs East care deeply for your children! It's not a fake show like a few other schools in the area. Miss Ann has to be one of the sweetest people that I've ever known. I went to this school when I was little, and I wouldn't send my children anywhere else. My son has feeding issues, and everyone here is so supportive. He used to throw up from anxiety at daycare (every single day). Now, he eats almost every bite of his lunch, and he's begging me for school to begin again so he can go back! It's truly amazing ❤”

They basically closed the store for me and my guys to get haircuts and party down in their rec room in the basement. Great time! “Grace Lutheran is an excellent Church. I have lived up the street from it my whole life. I was in the Boy Scouts there and I liked it better than my schools Troop. The services are great! The people are all warm and non-judgmental. I posted the times of services in a photo (The Lit Up Sign). They also have free dinner one day a week. The building itself is absolutely beautiful. The brickwork is nice and it has original Stained Glass windows. Parking lot is huge and there are several entrances for wheelchair access. The school and included youth programs are excellent also. I highly recommend!”

They challenge my kids to be well-rounded individuals but also to be part of a greater community.
