“The only reason I gave 4 stars is that they close too early, at 4pm, because they're short staffed. They are trying to hire more staff, if your looking for a job, please apply here. As a trucker, I need them to extend their hours to at least 10pm. They open at 6am, and I really like the food they serve here. It's always fresh and hot, and the service is very good.”

“Tried out doordashing during the holidays for extra money. The guy running this store was super nice. Very friendly and gave honest wait times. Actually ended up taking alot of deliveries from here because of how efficient they were getting orders out and the friendly service they gave me. When they say — in any other restaurant’s typically self-promotional fashion — that “you get a lot of food,” Black Bear Diner separates itself from the herd by delivering on their extraordinary promise. And not only is it a lot of food. It is GREAT food. That’s another promise they make, and another promise they deliver on. I had the hobo omelette with a biscuit and fresh-squeezed orange juice. (Coffee, of course.) The 3-egg omelette was packed with meat and definitely made from three eggs from very large chickens. The country potatoes were delicious and perfectly browned. And the biscuit was the size of most of the cushion stool tops you’ll find in many of the casinos here in Vegas. Go. Go. P.S. Parents: for years when our kids were young, my wife used to say, “why don’t restaurants serve butter that is either softened and ready to spread or offer to have the kitchen butter kids’ pancakes so that they’re ready to eat when they get on the table. They could even charge a surcharge and people would pay it.” Black Bear Diner has whipped butter, which for you parents will be a lifesaver when your kids’ pancakes come and they want to eat them hot.”

“Went to Pizzaroni's this evening with the family, my second time there. First time was 1-2 years ago. Very good, just as I remembered. 🙂 Got a well done pep half mush half sausage. They definitely don't skimp on the toppings, and that crisp brick oven crust is a winner. Only thing I might try differently next time is do a plain cheese pizza, so I can appreciate the crust, sauce, and cheese even more.”

“Five of us stopped to eat sometime after 3pm on a Sunday not realizing the restaurant closed at 3. Roger ran to the door and unlocked it and asked us to please come in. He said to order whatever we want. We said it was fine - we didn't want him to fire up the grill and dirty everything again. We said we would go somewhere else. He insisted and said he would never turn down anyone who was hungry. He and his wife cooked for us with such generous hearts. People like this make me believe there are still amazing people in this world. We are blessed to be moving there soon and I plan to keep them busy! Thank you for your wonderful food and hospitality. And according to my daughter, the caramel macchiato is better than Starbucks!! I agree! I cannot wait to come over and have a cup of coffee with you both.”

We drove there on a whim for lunch today. When we arrived, they weren’t open for another 30 mins; but Kevin (brother) invited us in to order food. We ordered some pulled pork, baked beans, and mac&cheese. The smokiness and the tender and juicy pulled pork is so freaking good! This food is phenomenal, and we can’t wait to try the rest of their menu. The food tastes like a home cooked meal with so much love and labor put into it. We hear that the brisket is to die for and can’t wait to try it! Love meeting such beautiful people that make GOOD food!”

“I’ve lived in Jersey my entire life and since this place has changed staff recently it’s the best it has ever been! Prices are much more reasonable than they used to be, staff is much friendlier and speak English, and the overall atmosphere is more positive. If you’re in a pinch and want food this is a great place to stop! I usually get the chicken bacon sub and I’m always satisfied. These guys also get bonus points for all the flavors of Grippos they have, get the Maui Onion!”
