“Small, local custom butcher. Bought 1/2 hog and they asked how we wanted the meat cut, answered questions, easy to deal with. They prefer cash. *I'm editing this to add more info. Just used Vonderhaar's again. :Last year I ordered a half a hog and the meat was excellent. So this year I got a whole hog. The fee was higher than other butchers, but most others didn't have openings for at least a year, while Vonderhaar's was able to get the hog I ordered done 4 months out (YAY!). The meat filled my 7 cubic foot freezer, which is what I expected. Lots of sausage, and plenty of other cuts too. I just ate a bone-in pork chop. It was thick, with a rim of fat, and sooo good. The person I worked with on the phone at Vonderhaar's was polite and answered questions. Next time I will ask for some of the bones for the dog, and some good fat to try my hand at lard.”

“We learned so much about subfloor, underlayment, and conquering squeaky floors during our initial meeting with Jason (Majestic Flooring) that we hired him for our project - installing 630 sq ft of bamboo hardwood. The benefit for us of working with a one man operation was that the estimator and installer were the same person so communication was easier from the onset. The detriment was that some patience was required for him to get to our job. As a reward for our patience, we now have solid hardwoods that look and feel solid. “This is The Best 'little critter' store that I've ever been in. The guy knows everything about what he deals in. My son loves his 'children'. I don't know why he thinks only girls call them babies. He's into lizards and rats, and treats them well. A rat escaped and while the guys were moving the other rat to a temp home, the rat licked my son's toe before taking off again. But sitting his cage on the floor w/water bottle and the door open, worked well, as he climbed in for a drink. That Gotcha Look is priceless.”
