“Great cart rental...highly recommend. Easy to reserve, easy to pick up right off the ferry, and they explained how to operate, and super easy tdrop off. We rented an 8-person cart with no issues...it was comfortable and large enough to comfortably transport 5 adults, one dog, and a motorized, fold up wheelchair on the back. Highly recommend.”

“Nice quiet spot to pull over, park your cart and eat lunch or dinner and chat with your friends. I did not see any washrooms. The views of the harbor and docked boats were great. Plenty of Geese in the area, so watch your step. A few people were fishing in the area. There were some tables and a pavilion nearby.”

“Our second stay at this cute secluded rental home and we had as much fun as the first time, maybe even more! The night time firepit was awesome and private. The owners said hi the one time we ran into them and seemed really nice. Lots of parking. VERY clean, surprisingly so actually for being out in the woods! The owners have kids so have a couple cameras up to watch them outside, but we were never bothered. Bonus: there was a kitchen area so we could make breakfast and save a few bucks from the downtown. We are already planning our third trip here!”

“Popular spot for families with small children. Cave experience was pretty cool, but rather short (20 minutes) for the price. Mini-Putt course looked like a lot of fun with recently upgraded artificial turf. There is a small car museum which was fascinating. The gift shop was relatively expensive compared to other similar shops (especially for the mining bags) and the associated gem stones.”

“My college friends and I had a great time at the Place at the Bay for a bachelorette party and we felt like we were at home. The whole house was very private and beautiful and cozy and seemed almost brand new even though it obviously wasn't. We wanted the private space to hang out, but still be able to use the pool across the street. When I visit Put-in-Bay again with family to visit my Uncle Chuck, I'm definitely booking my stay here again (and hopefully Mom stays too and helps pay like she did the last time we had a family getaway!).”

“Yesterday my husband, my daughter, my five-year-old grandson, and myself were at Put in Bay in a golf cart. A horrible Lightning and heavy rain storm came out of nowhere and we could not see the road. We took shelter in the gym’s overhang on the front porch as did three elderly women. The owner was so nice that he provided fresh, dry towels for everybody and welcomed us inside and dry off until the rain subsided. We stayed there for almost an hour and the owner showed us that there are still good, caring people in this world. We were very impressed and the gym looked fantastic! Thank you again for your kindness and hospitality.”

“Island club was such a fun place to stay for our girls trip!! Cute little cottage with multiple bedrooms and two bathrooms. We also had a combined kitchen, dining, and living room which was the perfect space to hangout. We also had a porch and were within walking distance to the pool on property! Check-in was super easy and had a door lock with code to get in. The place was clean and we brought our own towels and sheets. Would love to come back and stay again!”

“This is by far the best place to stay on the island! The owners are the nicest folks and great cooks! You won't find a cleaner place anywhere in Northwest Ohio! They have golf carts for rent and free bicycles so getting around is never a problem. The gardens are spectacular and the location is great for a weekend getaway. Highly recommend.”

“I recommend a trip through the Butterfly House. It is such an unusual experience that it’s worth it. The variety of butterflies is very impressive, so you’re likely to see something new or different. My three and five-year-old got bored and were ready to go before any of the adults in our group. I think they were hoping that a butterfly would land on their hands, but they had trouble holding still… so that did not happen. There is also a large shop with lots of butterfly – themed items. If you have friends or relatives who like butterflies, you are likely to find something here for them. Our kids really wanted to visit the toy section and it was hard to avoid.”

I've had the pizza, a grilled cheese sandwich that was huge and had more cheese than I knew what to do with, and my wife liked the Italian sub. “It's private. It used to be mob owned, then owned by a church group, now, well, rich Russians? Not sure. Have only been there when the Italians owned it. Golf course, restaurant, landing strip, marina. Frank Sinatra used to have a house on the island back in the day. If you have a chance to go to Rattlesnake or Hen Island, don't pass them up.”
