(April 12, 2022, 12:38 am)Nice but not that big of a preserve that's close by.The entrance and parking area is the same entrance that you use for Ballard Park. There is plenty of parking, portable restrooms and Ballard Park is basically connected to Metzger Preserve. The trails are mowed grass going through fields but the trail that goes alongside Deer Creek is interesting. In the creek are things called concretions or as the canoe/kayak rental business on the other side of the creek calls them,Indian Rocks.

(October 8, 2021, 10:23 am)6 foot wide mowed paths. All views the same. Except the creek path.....lovely and cool there. Nice parking and Porta pots. Two baseball fields and nice play area. Easy access.

(November 5, 2020, 3:43 pm)To navigate to Metzger Preserve, it is easiest to use the Google directions for Ballard Park at Ballard Park, 9 Ballard Ave, Williamsport, OH 43164.
If you are coming from Circleville on St. Rt. 22 turn left onto Water Street and at the five way stop turn right on Ballard Avenue. Follow this road down and to the right past the shelter house and playground to find the parking lot and park sign.
