White Star Park Beach

White Star Park Beach is one of the NICEST small park/beach in Ohio to check out! This is a Old Quarry that they filled with water to swim in. They turned it into a small beach. It's open to the public, they have picnic tables, pavilions, trails, lots of parking, grilles, and bathrooms there to use. The water is unbelievable clear and clean. You can see right thru it! We came with the dogs to walk around and enjoy the park. Park is dog friendly. They have a trail that circles the beach (about a little over mile long) they also do Scuba diving lessons and driving in general here too! We would definitely love to come back to try that part our overall!!!
Recommend stopping here for a nice day at the park, and maybe a little swim overall!

Aside from the 2 wooden popsicle sticks I saw, the beach was super clean. They don't allow smoking (or vaping) on the beach, so there were no cigarette butts in the sand, either, which was nice. The water was very clear, too, despite all the other people swimming. Beach wasn't crowded, and everyone seemed friendly. Even the surly teens in charge of admission and concession were fairly pleasant. I do wish that there was a way to know the quality of the water, since it is a freshwater quarry, and there is general concern about pH balance, bacteria, etc. Overall, a splendid experience.

The water here is clean and cold. There are little fish the kids love to try to catch. The beach has a couple of permanent tent/shade areas, and the sand is more like small rocks or litter. There is a diving board and areas two of water roped off to give smaller children boundaries. There is a concession stand of not really food but snacks. The bathrooms, picnic tables, playground, and grills are right outside of the swim area. Super nice park for all to enjoy. Admission to swim is I believe like $3.00.

Drove 2 hours to visit. The water is so clean and blue, it’s worth the drive to swim in it. There are a lot of rules/restrictions - No alcohol/canned drinks, no inflatables (you can bring them in if you didn’t know but you just can’t use them), it’s $5/adult to get in, $3 for kids, currently. You’re not allowed to piggyback/play “chicken” in the water. Regardless, if you want to enjoy swimming in really beautiful, clean water, on a nice, clean, sandy beach area - then you will really enjoy yourself. If you plan on staying several hours or all day, there is popcorn/snacks sold at the concession stand/office area, but nothing substantial, so I recommend bringing a cooler with your own food. There are grills located outside of the swimming area, in the park. Again, yes, there are a lot of rules, but if they didn’t have them, this place wouldn’t be nearly as nice and clean as it is.

I used to go here all the time when I was young. I went with some nieces and nephews a few days ago. They had a lot of fun swimming and jumping off of the diving board. The water is a little cold but very clean. The kids had a blast and we enjoyed hanging out on the beach.
