  I've learned more from Rob in four thirty minute sessions than I have learned in two years of professional instruction and twenty years of self instruction. The material he teaches from (his book, highly recommended) is straightforward and detailed, and takes you from zero to hero. Rob's teaching has something that others didn't: progression. It's not aimless wandering, you're on the very same road that professional guitarists are on when you're studying with him. Couldn't give a better recommendation.

  One of the best guitar instructors around! Rob has many years of experience with playing the guitar and is knowledgeable enough to help you with almost any song or music genre that you want to learn. He makes it clear that if you put the time and effort in, his material will help you become the guitar player you strive to be!

  Rob is an exceptional teacher and is extremely knowledgeable about music theory. Prior to coming to Rob, I was self-taught for 3 years. In the last couple months, he has filled in a lot of my gaps and changed the way I look at my guitar. If you are willing to put in the work and want to expand your guitar IQ while improving your skills as a musician, I highly recommend Rob. Music theory does not come easy to me, but Rob Metz has helped make music theory fun. It is rewarding when I am able to make a new concept click. My playing has improved a great deal in only a few months, and I cannot wait to see where it takes me as I progress along my guitar playing journey.

  Rob is actually my third instructor, but by far the best. As a beginner, I've struggled with making sense of the guitar's fretboard, its playing patterns, and the application of music theory. Rob explains all of this clearly and in an organized fashion that builds on previous lessons.
  
  It's his organization of teaching material and his patience that has gained my trust: to trust him as an instructor that will guide me to my playing goals, and to trust myself to get better over time. If you're willing to listen to him, and to practice what he teaches, you will improve way beyond what you thought you knew about the guitar.

  I met Rob Metz through a social media ad while searching for a guitar instructor for my son. After working with several instructors I wasn't sure if i wanted to go through this process again but after meeting Rob I was sure I had the right guy. Rob is a professional working in a very clean and well maintained garage studio. He takes the time to instruct my son according to a prepared lesson plan that is on the high school / college level. I am very satisfied with Rob's interaction and instruction for my son and I have no reservations about recommending Rob as a go to instructor for anyone looking to learn how to play a guitar.
