I spoke with Tamara regarding a personal pregnancy situation. First of all, Tamara picked up the phone outside of business hours and took her time speaking with me and I am not even her client. To quote a popular phrase: "where they do that at??". She was so supportive, calm and kind. May God bless everything that you put your hand to. You are one of a kind. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
We hired Tamara for the birth of our third child. She was extremely responsive in all of our communication and regularly reached out to us. She gave me some questions to discuss with my midwife and offered suggestions for alleviating pregnancy discomfort. On the evening we went to Atrium hospital to have our baby she met us in the parking lot and helped support me for our walk into the hospital. She was a reassuring presence in our room and gave me the hands on touch that I wanted. After our baby was born she made sure we were comfortable and settled before leaving. She also sent us pictures of our birth and baby which was great. It wasn't something that I was thinking about in the moment. Definitely recommend.
I am currently expecting my 2nd child and there is a 5 year difference between, so i needed a definite refresher course on what to expect. I had a wonderful experience with Tamara for a birth class. It was just what I needed. She was so knowledgeable about the material given and even about the hospital I plan to deliver. I definitely recommend anyone to take the birth class.
Tamara is an amazing doula. She brings knowledge, confidence, and a calm to what can be an overwhelming and slightly scary situation. For years before I even got pregnant, I knew I wanted to have a natural birth. It was very important to me, but I also knew it would be difficult. I didn’t even know what a doula was until I started researching tips for coping with a natural birth. I knew right away I wanted to have a doula. After researching more about local doulas, my husband and I meant with Tamara. He was slightly hesitant about having someone else there apart of our big day, but he was supportive with the idea. After meeting her, he immediately said let’s do it. We were both so pleased and thankful for her support though out my pregnancy and birthing experience. When my water broke, Tamara immediately responded to my early morning text and actually beat us to the hospital. It made the process seem so much easier and less intimidating when walking in with someone who knew exactly where to go and what to do. Due to my husband’s work schedule that week, he only got about 2 hours of sleep before my water broke. It was wonderful having someone else there for support so he could rest a little bit and not feel like he was leaving me alone. My husband and I were so thankful we went with Tamara. She helped give me the confidence and encouragement to have the natural birth I so wanted. She was the perfect calming force to have there, especially being a first time mama. If you are on the fence about hiring a doula, don’t hesitate.
We took Tamera’s birthing class and it was very interactive and informative.
We also utilized her doula services. However my birthing story was a little complicated since my daughter was unexpectedly born prematurely. Tamera didn’t have any experience with premature babies. However, She was able to be there for me emotionally and during such a scary time that support was needed. She was very professional and got to the hospital very quickly! She was selfless and stayed at the hospital until my csection was completed. I would recommend her services.
